It was Dom Whiting's DnB bike in Birmingham today. 1000s of cyclists brought the City Centre to a stop. One angry bus driver but generally more tolerant motorists than I would have expected

It's a new guitar day. I've had this amazing guitar made for me by Luke at Madoc Guitars. I'd spent a while wanting to buy a Stratocaster but not liking any I played; whilst really liking Luke's guitars. So he built the essence of a Strat into his design. It sounds and plays amazingly

My second Duo Lingo development of the week. Not only 2500 days in a row but the complete Gernan course done to legendary level. That's now the 5th time I've completed German (because they kept adding lessons)

If you're going for a chip shop vibe, then, yeah, newspapers are a thing you'd go with. We wrap fish and chips in newspapers. Is this really the headline you'd put on the wall?

This was one of those things that someone mentioned a while ago. But if you're interested, four books that changed the way I think and work. All have a healthcare improvement application, but only one explicitly relates to healthcare If people ever ask what you want for Christmas #QIsky

This idea that NHS Managers that fall down league tables will be sacked certainly sounds like getting rid of everyone that is below average in order to raise the average. Why do we keep doing these things?

Going through my mum's things, I found this article from 1975 about her getting a new job. This was from the local paper in Macclesfield, which she had moved away from in 1968. It's amazing what was newsworthy. I even get a mention
A newspaper article from 1975 that reads

APPOINTED NURSING OFFICER

MRS, Patricia Wright, formerly of Macclesfield, is to take up the post of nursing officer (community) with Eastbourne Health District Mrs. Wright, who now lives in Eastbourne, Sussex, trained at Macclesfield Hospitals.
