One of the many problems with politicians, is you make one donation and then you're forever a victim of their spam onslaught. It's such a distasteful practice. If I want to donate, I will. Pestering the shit out of me, does not encourage me to make another donation

My 2003 Ford Escape got me home safely one final time. After 23 years and 142k miles, the transmission has had it and it's not financially sensible to fix. Anyone who's known me since I moved to WA, while I lived in CA and all 4 of my dogs have only ever known me with this great, reliable vehicle

I dislike the expression "lived experience". It seems redundant and trendy. But Gemini explained to me that it's used to separate first-hand, direct experience vs second-hand knowledge gained through e.g. study. A patient has "lived experience" of symptoms that their doctor only has knowledge of

Pay attention if you have a British Airways voucher/discount code if you hold a reservation. You'll be shown the price with the discount when you hold (and pay $10) but, when you come to pay, the discount is *not* shown and there's no option to apply it online

Google has effectively broken casting to YouTube. Weirdly, I must now jump through an extra hoop on playing on my TV and, when I do, I lose the ability to play/pause or manage a list, unless I use a Google speaker to do it. It's also increasingly ignoring my "play next" requests to "skip" ads

A common (across streamers) Android app frustration is that watch progress is not tracked. I forget which episode of a show I want to watch next. I get that it's non-trivial given the volume of metrics *but* you'd think the streamers would want to accurately track watch statistics.
