Environmental storytelling at the elementary school

This is true, but sometimes someone is perfectly capable of criticizing the thing they like, yet will still get called a mindless fanboy because their criticisms didn't lead them to thinking their favorite thing was bad.

I finished rewriting my chapter 1 draft of my story in 3rd person omniscient perspective. It went up to about 17K words from 13K. I may combine this with chapter 2 and make it "Volume 1" of my story. I'd appreciate if you gave it a read and give me your thoughts. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

I've mostly requested OCs for the novel I'm writing on skeb, but I kinda wanna make skeb requests again for my OCs for that JRPG idea I have again, even though it will likely be years before I can even make that a reality. I really came up with some banger OC ideas.

The more time passes, the more I think my digestive issues are because of a parasite. Saw a long white strip in the toilet that gave parasite vibes and it lines up with the symptoms I've had. I 100% blame my mom because holy shit I've found out how bad her cooking hygiene is.

Just got this skeb back of Quetzal from skeb.jp/@uuelc Really like the expression here. I've been rewriting the story in 3rd person omniscient, so it will likely be a while before I can actually continue chapter 3. It will make the writing better though

Thanks again to @minabe6711.bsky.social for drawing my OC. I asked them to draw Eshilya with a new outfit that has a hat and glasses. Where she is from in my story, glasses don't exist so she wants to try them out for fashion purposes. This art is adorable.

They quoted me in this New Yorker piece about AI today. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...

“Let’s say there’s a world or time line I exist in where A.I. has been subject to regulation. It is ethical. It has no footprint environmentally,” the novelist Jeff VanderMeer, a prominent critic of A.I., told me over the phone. “With those guardrails in place, would I read an A.I. book? All I can say is no. And the reason is, in part, because I want to read something coming from a particular mind.” Using A.I., he said, “feels like a betrayal of the whole point of why you’re a writer.”

I'm confused as to how paralogues work in FE Fortune's Weave. I get the strict time requirements, and that you only need to do them once to unlock the character for part 2, but is there any purpose in doing them in multiple routes? Like does the dialogue change at all?

Extremely bigoted fiction writer: I invented this trope as a thinly-veiled allegory for my views on marginalized people Hack writers: We're going to copy this uncritically because it's popular, and also we sort of agree with your views [years later] this is a genre convention now

Played some more Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave. It's amazing how fun this game can be when I'm not doing boring shit on the world map. The main story segments are great. Glad Cai chapter 9 is short with only 32 turns. Gonna go to a Pokemon TCG tournament so maybe I'll beat ch 9 tomorrow.

No, SungWon is absolutely correct here. The insistence on sticking with the Japanese title when there is already a perfectly acceptable English one is utterly asinine. Nobody does this in Japanese literature, or film, or any other art form. It's just the anime nerds who insist on being obtuse.

19 hours into Cai's route in Fortune's Weave and I still haven't finished chapter 8. This game really is bloated to hell. The game's actually pretty fun when I'm not doing the boring grind every chapter. The game feels like Persona, and I mean that as a negative.

Made an Arknights story tier list. Not ordered within tiers because that's too hard. Don't take this too seriously since some of these I read a while ago so my opinions could change. This tier list didn't have the People, A People event, so just image that in SS tier.

The People, A People event in Arknights might actually be the best event in Arknights. And that's saying a lot because the writing is usually excellent, but this was just fantastic stuff. It feels like Arknights writing in general has been on point for a while. Simply amazing.

Hoyo talking about implementing AI influenced character personalities,

A post on Twitter by Star Rail Universe that reads:

Mihoyo is working on implementing Al to manage character's personalities.

The goal is to create a more immersive experience by generating dialogues and actions tailor made to the players previous interactions, in regard to this a couple of days ago they presented an Al board game to the 2026 Yunqi conference:
Board games feature dense dialogue, clear rules, and outcomes at every step, making them a perfect test of whether Al characters can maintain their persona while assessing the situation, making choices, and remembering past "grudges" with the player.

As for the specifics of how to play, we won't go into details here.
What's really interesting is:
The same set of characters and rules can lead to completely different relationships and stories depending on what players say and what choices they make.

Grow Up Show: Sunflower Circus I wanted to watch this anime because it's an original anime with a cute style in an interesting setting, 1950's Japan. It tells the story of a girl who does not want to be in the circus but is forced to help out this scrub circus group that has a few hidden stars.

In case you need evidence that Pokémon card scalpers are literal demons, a child with cancer passed away recently and in his last pack he pulled the Jirachi EX from 30th Celebrations. So now they are pumping up the value of the card. It's doubled in a few days. These people are genuinely so evil.
