An 'interesting' day at Donington yesterday. First time back on a track post eye issues of a few years ago. Eye good but to say I was rusty would be an understatement. Regardless, ended the day in one piece. I've never seen so many red flags at a trackday... #748RS

A fantastic weekend at Goodwood working with our friends at Mercedes. PC23 03 (Emersons race car from Indy 94 and Phoenix winner) ran faultlessly all weekend. Emerson and Karl Wendlinger are always gentleman and great to work with - it was a particular joy to see Al Jr on such great form.

een messing around drawing a 100cc V10 which I intend to make basically to force me into solving problems I've managed to avoid in the past. Centre drive cams (bias to the rear) and pumps in the V but with no top cover.

I avoid AI but for interest asked Gemini about the PC23 in general and about specific chassis historys just to see what happened. It's mad, it just makes shit up and sounds so convinced of the crap it's spewing. I'm well down the list of people who know the car which is a bit disappointing.

Personal news - my house was flooded on the 24th of November 2024, all of downstairs was destroyed in around 10 mins. Today, I got my study back. Trying to pick back up from where I left off, a bit of design stuff and some writing. PC needs about a million updates but will get there.

Some minor #PC27 news - new headrest (was missing and now redesigned to acomodate a HANS device) is just about done. Still fighting electronics and flywheel trigger pickups so it's encoraging to make a little progress elsewhere!

Exploded view of new Yamaha R9 twist grip housing for Bikesport Development. In late stages of prototype now... biggest headache has been adequate thrust area when the rider is hanging off the bar vs. Can it be assembled with the housing split across the bar axis.

One of the standout features of the #PC27 is the plenum chamber as a structural part of the car. Deleted for 1999, the rear left mount was ground to make space for the crank trigger wire. We had a new mount EB welded in place and the rib built up with TIG. I very nervously dressed it back...

An @Ohlinsracing #F1 spec damper. F1 dampers used to use fixed valving, swapping the entire unit for a fifferent spec, rather than adjust it But, with the bouncing problems since 2022, they returned to being adjustable, to react to the cars behaviour through the weekend. #F1tech
