Working on some sprite art for Hollows Academy! We've got two battle sprites (which I plan on animating in the near future), as well as a portrait that is planned to be used with some of the new UI for the inventory that I'm working on behind the scenes. I'm enjoying learning to make pixel art too!

Another very minor update to my game, we now have a light that illuminates around the player at night (and eventually caves and other dark areas too!). It has a bit of a flicker to it as well to make it seem more like a lantern light.

TW: Short White Flashing Screen Minor thing for today, added in a better transition animation for transitioning from the overworld into battle. Wasn't too hard with a godot shader, though I had little experience with godot's shaders beforehand, but I got it all figured out!

What's new in the world of Magical Girl Saga? Well... a whole new dialogue system! I rewrote the ENTIRE dialogue system I had and created something that would allow for branching dialogue and the new system works flawlessly after 3 days of work! #gamedev #indiegamedev #godot

Hello everyone! I'm back! And.... I've got a new but maybe minor? (if you can call it that lol) update to Magical Girl Saga! I've refactored my ENTIRE dialogue system! So what does this mean? It means that now, the character AND the player speak to each other instead of just the character speaking!

Minor update to my game, we've got the ability to use items on all characters in the player's party as well as assign weapons to all characters in the player's party. Now to just work on adding text that tells you what item you've just used. #gamedev #indiegamedev #godot

Finishing up the last of the minor bug fixes in the weapon equipment system, just need to fix one small bug with weapon unequipping (not shown in the clip but essentially is just the party members' weapon doesn't unequip properly) and the weapon equipment system for my game will be (mostly) finished

Minor progress: Added in character icons on the corner of each currently equipped weapon slot so you can now tell which character has the weapon equipped, even if they aren't in the player's current party. Now to fix the bug I created with the cursor lol #gamedev #GodotEngine

Today's progress: Weapons are now reassignable and can be equipped uniquely to a character (meaning only one character at a time can have a single weapon). Now I can add in other weapons and everything will work flawlessly. #gamedev #GodotEngine
