Ugh, started reading a fanfic and realized the author just lifted the plot of one of those FB AI dramas. Even changed the male lead to match the Geralt wannabe male lead from the AI slop video. Disappointing. Annoying enough to have it pop up on FB in between reels, now their plots are invading AO3.

Anytime I asked where a specific title was “oh are you getting it for your boyfriend/husband/son?” No. I love X-Men and Batman and have been reading it for years. Even Sonic got the question when I was asking for my diehard Sonic friend. Who also is a woman.

It’s the same content. Similar segments of the brain are engaged. And the only thing that matters is that information is absorbed. The words are the same. The text is conveyed to the audience. Comprehension of the materials is the point.

Engagement matters more than format. Each still affects similar segments of the brain. And it’s more about comprehension than anything else. I can read a chemistry book cover to cover. It doesn’t mean I understood it. Personal engagement with the material matters more than the format.

Sadly it does happen. I know many who have asked for book recommendations but want no female authors, even if they hit every checkbox in their reading list. I know of at least one author in the western genre who goes by initials and deliberately avoids pronouns in their bio to hide.

But that's the point of having the trademarks. Dove (ice cream and chocolate) is a trademark to sell food items under the brand/trademark Dove. While Dove (soap) has the brand/trademark to sell a personal hygiene product. You won't mistake the product they are producing.

In addition, Patagonia is known for its longevity of its product, Pattie throwing (overpriced) reused product into the mix could also bring down the perceived quality of Patagonia's as anything used/worn is not going to be as sturdy as their new product.

Nope, not the performing, but through the infringing and diluting of their brand and trademark and through trying to sell clothing while distributing materials that copy Patagonia's trademark, brand, and logo, and by doing so is creating a false association. Implying a connection that doesn't exist.
