If it's already on land by 1 in the morning the center should be up in Tennessee by kickoff, but the need for emergency personnel to deal with remnants or the potential aftermath might still merit a change or cancellation. Personally I'd move it to Sunday like that South Carolina game a decade ago.

Yeah the extracurriculars are crazy and pretty much every "responsible" kid aiming for college will be booked solid, but the other thing here is that people just do not know their neighbors as well in general. Some of that is just a product of a more mobile population but that's not all of it.

I saw him in-person in high school in a game where he ran for 250+ and came away thinking "I'm not sure he has the extra gear in him to be the #1 at a top 5 college/the NFL" but I was apparently wrong there, too. He definitely had all the other tools even back then, though.

I've seen some pretty incredible kitchens that wouldn't approach a million dollars unless you're using incredibly rare wood and stone everywhere. Only way I could imagine spending that much on a single "room" would be an indoor go-kart track.

I think you're off by a couple of orders of magnitude there. A *cubic foot* of sand weighs like 100 pounds, and the rubber on a turf field is substantially lighter than that and around an inch thick.

Hot take: in any case where a defense gets an unsportsmanlike conduct that will be enforced on a kickoff the team that just scored should always go for the onside kick. At that point the yardage difference for a failed onside attempt is nearly negligible.

It should honestly be easy to go back and just say "No, the game was over" in a situation like that. In this case you could easily overturn that result without setting any bad precedents.
