Using LLM to translate String Catalog in Xcode is wasting a ton of tokens. It's one huge json. Accessing just 1 value in 1 language means reading the whole entire file for all languages. So I vibe coded this tool to convert between String Catalog and YAML. Big big save on the token usage.

Increasing subscription price can be applied to ONLY the new users, while keeping the current price for all existing customers. There's an option for that in the App Store Connect. It's easier to do it this way than to create a new subscription package.

Yes, it works!! I'm genuinely surprised. At this point, I'm not sure what is what anymore. I find myself randomly adding "nonisolated" or "@.MainActor" randomly here and there until it works. This whole concurrency thing is way harder than I expected.

Correct. I already did that. As for the crash, the thing is I don't know what to show you. When there's any issues with thread, it doesn't really point to which part of the code that does it (unlike other issues). I'm not sure what to look for or what to show. But here's what caught my eyes.

@massicotte.org I got a crash in iOS 17. No problem in iOS 18 and 26. I have a view modifier called .taskOnce to run .task just once. Replace my .taskOnce with the .task, everything works just fine. I create a completely new project to test it and it still happens. Any ideas?

App crashes in production after upgrading to Swift 6 🫠 Luckily, it only affects iOS 17. No offense against Swift 6. This is purely just me lacking the skill to do it right. But... upgrading to Swift 6 has been really challenging for me. I wouldn't make this choice if I did it again.

I tried, it doesn't work. The issue is the blur. In Icon Composer, the blur effect doesn't really blur the layer the way I want. This result in a hard shadow without soft edge. (see image) And if I do that blur circle in Figma and export to SVG, it won't appear that way in Icon Composer.

Yep, the problem is that shadow. Getting that hard shadow while keeping high-quality image is difficult. Need to compromise. Shadow has to be applied in Icon Composer instead. And it's a soft shadow.

Icon Composer, as the name implies, is not an icon designing tool. It's a composing tool. Functionality is limited. (And it's quite clunky to use, in my opinion.) The primary reason to use it is to apply the glass effect. The secondary reason is to remove the glass effect. #iOS26

I don't know if this is the root cause or not, but I see this file as part of the trace. What do you think? I just want a convenient method where I can initialize a Color that adapts to both light and dark.
