Uhuh. My main fear is grabbing a cherry coke by mistake but how anyone drinks 'full fat' in 2026 boggles my mind.

David Ratcliffe @davidratcliffe.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Well happy to see a new LIINES release is on its way. Reckon I know at least half the songs here from live shows. Pondering a rare vinyl purchase, just 'cause it looks nice.

Still a weirdly long way off then I guess. All the people who missed out on Bone Temple are... well, they're missing out.

Reading this has forced me to head to YouTube and search for 'Angelo Badalamenti explains how he wrote Laura Palmer's theme'.

Bit late hearing about the Cornell story. Student paper doing good work by the looks of it.

Worth it for Tattoo alone. One of the all time great b-sides.

You gotta go for the reissue for the Stuart Price and Adult. remixes. Nice.

Never my favourite Garbage tune but they rocked it live on tour this year. Also, both b-sides are iconic. For those reasons: 10/10.

Not sure I saw anyone suggest The Proclaimers as a new support act yet.

Some huge talent there and a fascinating story. Shame they had to spoil it by using AI.

Been on a big Madness kick this summer and Shut Up *might* just be my favourite. Sounds like being a kid in the early 80s.

I know nobody wants to see this guy - I mean, at all - but jesus... Trump can't keep his eyes open even on September 11. Camera was on him for some time and he barely moved.

Sleepy and creepy. Pic of Trump at the Pentagon today - feed showing on BBC news. It could just happen at any minute!

Sure they were very peacefully knocking. Would be interested to hear from someone actually there.

Woops. Silly boys. Sure they won't do it again.

Not been familiar with Miller but was well impressed seeing A View From The Bridge this summer. Tempted to give Death Of A Salesmen at the National Theatre a go. On next year.

Screenshot fron National Theatre socials post. Main image shows Death Of A Salesmen in bold black text against a red background alongside headshots of stars Paul Mescal (centre), Tracy Letts (left) and Monica Dolan (right). Text below says Death Of A Salesman (again), by Arthur Miller - Lyttelton Theatre, Summer/Autumn 2027.

Don't like to scaremonger but feels like there's a bunch of blokes around town who are increasingly wound up and keen to kick someone's head in.

Wish I had answers to all of this. Also wish our government had more of an interest in trying to provide some answers that don't involve promotion of further bigotry and barely contained violence.

Proper grim reading racist commentary on local news posts re: 'small boat' landing here in Portsmouth. Hope everyone is safe and well and that Thomas and his pals find something more productive to do. Pricks.

Creatures were killing it around this time. Got to love a Subsonic Legacy remix - weirdly missing from the remix LP.

September? More like Gigtember. Friday 4th is A Place To Bury Strangers in Southampton and Sunday 27th is Actors in London. Happy with that.

A Place To Bury Strangers 2026 tour dates poster. I won't list 'em all but I'm seeing them, with Die Anstalt in support, at Southampton Papillon.

Actors 2026 tour dates poster. I wont list 'em all but I'm excited to see them - alongside She Past Away - at EartH in Hackney. Sunday though? Maybe I should've made it Bristol which is the night before.

Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie that came out when you were 20 years old?

Not fond of the royals or of conspiracy theories - but! - can't help wonder if this and the Harry story suggest something's up.

Always had somewhat mixed feelings about Faith No More. When they hit that sweet spot though - like with this song - they're superb.

Ha. What a loser. Struggling to recall Stewart Lee's Liddle routine this afternoon. Maybe he'll stick it into his touring show.

Okay well I wasn't expecting to see this. Actual proper original lineup reunion? Hope so. They were bloody good.

I guess at least this news headline is *trying* to be reassuring. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you.

Screenshot of BBC News website. Text says: 'LIVE Suffolk wildfire not yet under control, fire service says, but no risk to nearby nuclear plant'. I'm reading this as 'no *immediate* risk'. Pictures shows what I take to be the Suffolk countryside horrifically on fire.

Not watched American Psycho in a while now but hopefully I can still enjoy that one. I mean, he *does* get brutally murdered. Sort of. Maybe.

So this something. Not all to my taste, but could be one hell of a party.

Poster for the Bugged Out 2001 & On event at Drumsheds, London. Takes place on Saturday 10 October 2026. I'm not going to list all the confirmed acts but I'm excited for Dave Clarke and Kittin & The Hacker. Plus you have Leftfield, Felix Da Housecat and Erol Alkan amongst many others.
