Postojna cave. The journey begins with a dizzying train ride through narrow tunnels, opening out into giant cathedrals with towering organ pipes. But they all go whizzing by so fast. I’m amazed no one has had their brains bashed out. Bet a few phones have been smashed, though.

“Casa Batman” in Valencia de Don Juan. It was started by Santiago Nava, a local builder, in 1990. Thirty-six years later, it is still unfinished. Apparently he does a bit of work on it when he has the time and resources. So, very Gaudí.

Weird building (actually five houses). Looks very gothic.
