As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.

There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series

You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

Every day, thousands of women and children are victimized by people on X using the Grok chatbot to generate scantily clad and naked photos of them. It’s time for governments to take action. Elon Musk’s X should have been banned long ago. They don’t have an excuse to delay any longer.

Early in November I was lucky to be able to explore the woodlands of Southern Sweden with @stianklo.bsky.social. My work from that week ranged from traditional forest photography, abstracts, to these quiet little guys. Hope you enjoy and welcome comments! #landscapephotography #sweden

A photograph of autumn leaves floating in a small creek. The leaves are yellow, orange, brown and green and are beaded with water droplets.

A delicate screen of autumn beech leaves yellow and orange is framed by a mossy green tree trunk and branch.

A photograph of a group of mushrooms growing from an old log. The image is rich in texture and subtle colors. The mushrooms range in color from orange, beige, tan, blue, and green. It’s obviously a trap set up by the fey folk.

#waterfallwednesday ? Here is one from Upper Yosemite Falls last spring. I love isolating patterns of the falling water as it drops down the wall. #landscapephotography #yosemite #waterfall #nature #nationalpark #yosemitenationalpark

Water lit by the morning sun as it careens down the granite cliffs of Yosemite.

Happy Photo Friday! This is an image from Greenland. The massive ridges on the iceberg always reminded me of a giant dragon. It’s titled ‘Leviathan’ #landscapephotography #greenland #ice #arctic #explore

A photograph of a large iceberg off the coast of Greenland. The sky has dark foreboding clouds. The iceberg is massive and shaped like the spine of a sea serpent with a mix of white and blue colors.

A flashback to a fall photograph from a few years ago outside of Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. This one is titled ‘Take Your Repose’.

A photo of a cottonwood tree in fall color, its leaves glowing gold with gentle backlight. The background is a canyon wall in blue shadows. The foreground is a mix of pastel colored shrub brush.

Greetings to all of my new followers. I’m a landscape photographer that focuses my time exploring the edges of nature. My work is available online at fourcrowsphotography.com

The photograph shows a deep river canyon in Zion National Park known as the Narrows. A river flows downstream past the camera. A large boulder is at the center of the picture drawing the eye to it. Reflected sunlight makes the canyon walls glow orange in the background.

New Work: ‘Scarlet Song’, San Juan Mountains, CO. Most times aspens are a lovely golden color. But every once and awhile you can fine some lovely patches or orange red leaves.

An abstract image of a grove of Aspen trees. The leaves of the trees are a vivid red color, the camera pans upward to create a sense of motion.

New Work: ‘Borderlines’. San Juan Mountains,CO. I love isolating the landscape with these longer views. The boundaries between field and forest drew me to this scene.

‘Merced + Rothko’ Yosemite National Park, CA. Reflected color in the Merfed River plus a hint of intentional camera motion can make for wonderful abstracts! #yosemite #yosemitenationalpark

An abstract photograph of color reflected in the water of the Merced river. Green, cream, brows, and blacks give the image a painterly feel.

“The Raven that Stole the Sun”, Geldingadalir, Iceland, 2021. Watching the current Icelandic eruption north of Grindavik on the livestreams while thinking of my own encounter with an Icelandic volcano back in 2021.

A photograph taken from a drone above a lava field in Iceland. The lava is glowing red, orange, and yellow and looks like the head of a Raven.

Fleeing the bad place for bluer pastures. This is a photograph I made last month in Yosemite National Park. New Work: ‘Black Oak no. 1’

Photograph of a black oak tree in mist at Yosemite National Park. Yellow fall leaves are shrouded in mist on the valley floor.
