I helped with naming this! I'm pretty proud of the whimsy and the punnines! The game and art are really cool, too!

It was either Jaws or the Exorcist. I can't quite place which happened first, but have vivid memories of freaking out to both!

Everytime i do any creative design or writing, I tend to write music to accompany it. Just helps me get into the right mindset. Didn't really do that writing the screenplay draft I just did, but man did the urge hit me after. Is this latin horror or spookathon? #music #composer

I just finished the first draft of my first original screenplay! Buddy detective film by way of cosmic horror. Deeply Latine. Fun and horrific, hopefully. Still a ways until its done, but man, it feels good to get this draft down! Hoping that it gets it filmed down the line!

Three different short films I've made music for are in 3 different festivals in the coming weeks. I don't know if this has hit me quite yet. One is in the Flatland Film Fest, another is on the Amarillo International Film Festival, and the last in the Hub City Horror Festival.

I was about to post.woth my justifications for cold opens on the last audio drama I worked on, but it is fiction so. I still got worked up and ready to risk pontificating my point, and I have nowhere to rid myself of this energy. Read that in a Duke Nukem voice.

The "Main Titles" from the new RE movie just released and... i think its a remix of the infamous trumpet song from the directors cut of the old RE1? Its not perfect 1:1, but its there, I think. Such a deep cut, makes me want to see the movie even more!

Started working on a spec script for a short film. More for fun than anything else, but who knows? Does Shane Black's The Nice Guys meets eldritch horror work? I think thats the vibe. It'll work, right?

I feel like the press around the new Resident Evil movie, and by press i mean the loud online contigent of "fans", would have been better had they added the Outbreak subtitle. Its essentially an adaptation of those games, which is probably the best way to do it.

I was not the biggest fan of Mercer for Ganondorf. He did a good enough job, it just didn't quite work for me. I'd have liked giving Abubakar Salim a shot at it.

I... its not my favorite look, but i prefer it over heavily pored, super realism. I could do with a bit less overall texture in the fabric, though. I wqlas kind of hoping for botw style graphics when it was first rumored.

Man, it seems like all the things I've been working on the last few months are all releasing at the sane time! As such, here's a short film I scored! It's about not wanting to fall asleep for fear of what tomorrow might bring, except a little more literal! I really went NIN on it!

Currently redlining and rewriting a contract for a thing that was supposed to be a fun side thing and now wondering if its worth it? I'm combing through this document like its a job, ya know? Currently striking an entire section about digital doubles (ai clones), if that tells you anything.

Another cool thing I'm doing. Finished our last pre tech week rehearsal for a play I'm directing! Its a 15 minute mini play, amd its great! Wonderful actors and story. I've had a pretty darn good week for creativity!

Actors rehearse a play in the background, they are out of focus. In the foreground, a script that reads "A Day In The Life", it is in focus. This is an attempt at fancy photography by the director who is behind the camera.

Not specific to trrpg, but this is how I feel about the idea of "fandoms" now. It's less about enjoying a thing and more about the "prestige" of liking the thing, which incentives gatekeeping and policing hobbies. I tend to stay away from being deep into anything now, at least online.

Submitted a demo cut for the final episode of an audio drama I've been working on for the last few months, and it... fells bittersweet? Like, I'm ready to be done with the job, but I'm kind of sad that its almost over. Funny how that works.

Ganondorf. Specifically Oot and Wind Waker Ganon. He's a leader of a bunch of brown people were forced into the desert because of bigotry. His people thought of as nothing but savage thieves. Dying to exposure. The triforce driving him mad in the end. I get why he did it, though.

I just started writing my first screenplay. I figure what the hell do I got to lose? At least this idea I've had for a while will exist in some physical form rather then just in my head.

David L. Puga @davidlpuga.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Started writing my first, actual film script. It's a story thats been in my head for a while. Feels nice to put it down on paper. I mean technically this is the second time. The first was a micro short story. So... I'm adapting a short story into a screenplay! Huzzah!
