Everytime i do any creative design or writing, I tend to write music to accompany it. Just helps me get into the right mindset. Didn't really do that writing the screenplay draft I just did, but man did the urge hit me after. Is this latin horror or spookathon? #music #composer

I just finished the first draft of my first original screenplay! Buddy detective film by way of cosmic horror. Deeply Latine. Fun and horrific, hopefully. Still a ways until its done, but man, it feels good to get this draft down! Hoping that it gets it filmed down the line!

The last thing I worked on for t h was finale of a project i was on for almost 2 years! Bittersweet feelings. Happy its done, but sad it's done. Worked with really great people, we made a hell of an audiodrama! Listen to the show, search The List City - Tell Ne Something Studios on youtube/spotify!

Another cool thing I'm doing. Finished our last pre tech week rehearsal for a play I'm directing! Its a 15 minute mini play, amd its great! Wonderful actors and story. I've had a pretty darn good week for creativity!

Actors rehearse a play in the background, they are out of focus. In the foreground, a script that reads "A Day In The Life", it is in focus. This is an attempt at fancy photography by the director who is behind the camera.

Started writing my first, actual film script. It's a story thats been in my head for a while. Feels nice to put it down on paper. I mean technically this is the second time. The first was a micro short story. So... I'm adapting a short story into a screenplay! Huzzah!

A godzilla drawing. It looks decent enough.

Things I ate to usher in a new decade of life! Breakfast - some sourdough French toast with maple syrup! Dinner - steak sammy in sourdough (same loaf) with a side of pepper and sea salt chips!

And finally, "The Starving Saints" by Caitlin Starling! Nice, spooky Bloodborne vibes. It's like, what if one of the better realized side stories in those games happened, but the hero character never arrived? It's good, it's creepy, and its vibes are immaculate!

"The Old Breed - Haxan" by Alex Calvo. If you want knights, witches, a cosmic horror devil, and religious bureaucracy, then this book is for you! There is a weird tendency in these types of stories to have a witch and Ranger duo. Not sure why. Anyways, it's a fun read!

Next up is the "Darkfall: Deathborn" series by Lee Mountford. Victorian set, secret society versus gothic monsters, with a generous helping of cosmic horror, too! Really great monsters, and good monster hunting mythos.

Got the insomnia, so here's some good cosmic horror novels I think you should read! First up, the "Eldritch Beasts Series" by Primary Hollow. Castlevania, except the monsters relegated to legend have returned, and the Belmont-esque family is on its last legs. Really fun romp.

Cover for the first Eldritch Beasts book. A hooded figure covered in shadow walking through what looks like a spooky ass town.

Found out "The Only Good Indians" by @sgj.bsky.social was about to be out of print, which was the nudge I needed to add it to my library. Read it digitally and really dug it! Great psychological horror by way of nature and guilt. Put it on my living room shelf with other cool stuff.

Been throwing around a design idea for a bit and decided to do a thumbnail sketch to see what it'd look like. Should I go all in a render it fully? It's a winter design with tips about what to do when it's too cold outside, and there are icey conditions. #art #sketch

I went walking around our local canyon lake today, trying to get back into nature, you know? Well, as close as you can while car and construction noises echo about, anyway. There this one place along my walk that reminds me of Simon Stålenhag's landscape art.

An picture of a lake. In the foreground, an idyllic, man made water reservoir. In the background, industrial silos or something. Gives of a dystopian landscape kind of vibe.

Seeing as how there's a new season if Stranger things out, I figured now was as good a time as any to post this piece. I drew this on July 2022 for display at a horror themed art show. I went with Vecna because I wanted to try out Todd McFarlanes' monster drawing technique! #strangerthings #art

A few more sketches from I did while waiting for some audio to render. More cosnic horror, this time I drew a Spawn of the Abyssal Goat, as well as the hero character, Pancake Muldoon, a pirate bear what hunts eldritch nightmares! #art #lovecraftian #sketch #comicart

Sketch of Pancake Muldoon! A pirate gunslinger that hunts eldritch horrors. Why? It's all he knows, and no one else is doing it, so why not?

Sketch of a Spawn of the abyssal goat, Shub. A walking tentacles horror. While it is called a goat, I doubt it. Like full stop.

Whenever I have some time in between renders, I like to rough sketch little drawings. I was happy with how these guys came out, so I felt like sharing. Maybe even do full pieces from them. • my rendition of an og beholder • Nyarlathotep • Dimensional Shambler (mythos and Quake) #art #mythos #ttrpg

Based on Gary Bell's original rendition of the Beholder. The simplicity of this design evokes a discomfort. It's leering eye probes the depths of your for you pages. Observing the amount of fitness and trad life videos on it. You feel judged by it. You have been found wanting.

Of all the forms Nyarlathotep takes, this is certainly one of them. A three legged, walking tongue monster so weirdly sensual you wonder if HR Gieger designed it.

You ever seen a rainbow? What about a double rainbow? Well, this Shambling horror has nothing to do with it. Traveling through multiverses to shoot lightning and chew bubblegum and it's all out of bubblegum.

This is Pancake Muldoon. He's a bear pirate what hunts eldritch horrors. Really need to get started on writing this story. What's a hero worth in a grimdark, dark fantasy world that doesn't want them? That's the pitch! I just gotta do it. #art #darkfantasy #sketch
