Trump has mentioned the ballroom in public remarks on about 1/3 of the days in 2026. That's fewer than tariffs and Iran but about as often as health insurance and “affordability.” The project is broadly unpopular and advisors have urged him to focus on kitchen table issues. But he won't stop.

On Saturday I was on the Pacific Ocean for roughly 8 hours and I took a little over 10,000 shots. Of those 1200 were of birds and dolphins in feeding frenzies where it's utter chaos for lunch. Most of them, although fun, weren't the shot I was looking for. This is the shot I was looking for. 🦑🪶

This has been among the harder dynamics to navigate: people who aren’t motivated by anti-Semitism, but aren’t attuned to it either, end up regurgitating the anti-Semitic tropes with “Zionist” ctrl+F-ed for “Jew.” And then when Jews get upset assume it’s because they’re Zionists.
