I absolutely hate these short international ODI series where a side arrives with no media narrative whatsoever and is simply somebody for England to play. Headingley’s poor late September crowd tells its own story. Delighted to see Sri Lanka demand attention with (win or lose) a fine performance.

C'mon, there must be sensible limits to consumer rights. If, say, you online shop say 10 things & then send them all back you can't expect refunds of all postage. What next? Refund car park charges, petrol, bus fares if you go to a shop and can't buy anything? www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Tell them in the 1960s reports were influenced by the bias of the London media. And ask them if they also do not go to France because it had a bad reputation in 1798 or if they don’t buy televisions because they think they are still black-and-white or if they still think smoking is good for you?
