Hierarchically porous metal–organic frameworks with red topology for hydrogen and methane storage
Nature Synthesis, Published online: 28 September 2026; doi:10.1038/s44160-026-01163-9Topology-guided assembly of conformationally adaptive diphenylethynyl linkers with trinuclear oxo-centred clusters affords a 4,4,6-connected trinodal red net metal–organic framework. The framework combines ultrahigh porosity with high hydrogen and methane storage performance, marking it a promising adsorbent for clean energy storage.
