Enjoyable to watch this twisted, dark comedy and confusing story to keep us entertained. Having #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social with @hardiewrites.bsky.social to help us to unravel the storyline. Oh gosh, what a performance from Tom Cruise despite of the lack of rave reviews! A love & hate kind of film!

In the auditorium, the film goers sit watching a guest speaker named Nathan who wears a black jean with top blue shirt, next to the female interpreter wearing a black dress. They stand on the platform next to the screening.

10 of us including 2 BSL interpreters sitting at the foyer area along with four round tables with some drinks. We mined holding the digger!

What a mesmerising & captivating film, #TheCycleofLove. Based on a true story, it highlights the human journey to find a love, despite the challenges they face! A great discussion #DCAC with Fern Scott @Wshed.bsky.social, especially about the editing progress.

Fern wearing red top and purple blouse holding the mircophone, next to the BSL interpreter on the left. The screening at the back featured the biker holding the bike wearing the yellow scarf while snow appears.

Twelves of us including 2x BSL/English interpreters sitting on the chairs next to the round tables in the corridor yard.

Lovely detailed discussion with @markcosgrove.bsky.social #DCAC after watching #TheLastOneForTheRoad @Wshed.bsky.social. Some interesting cinematic shots featuring a conversation between two older men and a young, intelligent guy, highlighting two different generations with some humorous moments.

Great watching Sarah Friedkand’s debut feature film #FamilarTouch #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social with @hardiewrites.bsky.social. The film offered a thoughtful reflection on empathy and human value of people living with dementia. Beautifully executed with colourful and stunningly detailed shots throughout.

Nathan wearing a black shirt and a black shirt, stands on the platform next the female interpreter with hippy clothing. The screening image is old lady with her closed eyes in comfort.

Really mixed reactions to #TheChristophers last night at #DCAC @WShed.bsky.social with Neil Ramjee. An enjoyable watch, especially the development of the relationship and behaviour between Lori and Julian rather than the portrayal of Julian’s children, who concerned with inheriting his artwork.

In the auditorium, David stands on the platform wearing a brown top with black shirt and trouser. The screening of female on the right with yellowish coat looking at the canvas. The film goers sat watching David’s introductory speech

Neil Ramjee wearing a cap, a red jumper and blue jean holding the microphone stands on the platform next to the BSL female interpreter wearing black dress with minty green loosen cardigan.

What a drama, actually in #TheDrama #DCAC @WShed.bsky.social with Steph Read, the film highlights social differences between America and British values in couple’s relationship if anything unfold! Very dark comedy and lovely editing, it keeps you wondering what their characters’ actions will do! Oh…

On the platform, Steph Read wearing black top, blue jean and black cap, along with the BSL interpreter, with the screening of The Drama featuring a couple, in the auditorium

David wearing dark blue jumper and brown chino stood on the platform along the image of a couple on the screening

Lovely night #DCAC #NovetteVague @Wshed.bsky.social with @markcisgrove.bsky.social Another brilliant exploration about the story of how ‘New French Wave’ formed by Jean-Luc Godard who ignored the traditional filmmaking rules, making acclaimed film ‘Breathless’ in 1960, that was widely praised!

David with green top and brown chino stands on the platform behind the screening - Deaf Conversations About Cinema :Nouvelle Vague - New French Wave, in the front of David is the filmgoers in the auditorium.

What a film - #Hamnet #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social with Sharon @esjayclark.bsky.social, her useful contribution sparked us to see the comparison from Maggie O’Farrell’s bestseller novel. It highlighting the nature, pain, female isolation and influence! Some powerful scenes brought tears to your eyes!

What a good film and lovely #DCAC over Pilion @Wshed.bsky.social. Never expected Christmas theme is included, with British humour woven throughout it, plus sub/top relationship in awkward scenes! Interesting intro by @berniehodges.bsky.social about the darker, heavier themes in the book - Box Hill!

Interesting discussion with @hardiewrites #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social, after watching #DieMyLove, this film gave us a food of thought with some totally unexpected, terrified and shocking moments, (it even made us jump!). Really emotional and empathetic themes centred on female’s representation!

Another good #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social follows up the Hollywood melodrama film, All That Heaven Allows. With insightful introductory facts by Andrew Kelly, gives us more deeper understanding of Douglas Sirk as a director, with shooting styles in invisible political themes!

This title of Deaf conversations About Cineme, it shows the relationship between actor/ress in the patchy blue background

Andre Kelly, standing on the left holding the microphone, gave his brief introductory talk about the film. The next to him is an BSL interpreter

First ever #DCAC at Everyman, Bath, after watching @marleematlin.bsky.social’s powerful & moving ‘Not Alone Anymore’. Her journey experience as the first deaf Oscar winner highlights how audism persists since Milan 1880. This is one of the key issues where the deaf community have felt!

The big screen with number of sponsor logos in the white box. At the faded purple background where the people gather.

Lovely sharing opinions with Gavin Sunderland in #DCAC following #AHouseofDynamite, @Wshed.bsky.social. Thrilling, unexpected journey before the time running out, 3 different chaotic scenarios took place, with more close-up shots of brass choosing their decisions and fate! Success or failure?!

David standing on the platform with the screening at the back consisting of the image of two air pilots with a safety helmet. In the front of the auditorium, two BSL interpreters sat on.

Great turnouts #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social after watching ‘Deaf’ #Sorda with @hardiewrites. Interesting themes - relationship, family across generation, social norms and most importantly the role of language reflecting the reality of deaf lives within a ‘perfect’ world. Beautifully executed shootings!

Another interesting discussion throughout the evening #DCAC @Wshed.bsky.social, after watching #HotMilk. The film threw us at the bay to think about the theme/contents - independent, trauma, hardworking care but decent & envy relationship. Thanks to Sarah MacGregor for sharing details with us!

Two female on the stage - black dress with green top jacket on the right and striped jacket on the left, with a big screen including the image of two female bracing together

10 deaf & hearing filmgoers sitting on the chair along with four tables. Glasses drinks sat on the tables. On the left, a large size of the window. Mobile bar service was left on the far right.
