Is it possible for an app to have seconds displayed and also not use so much battery? Or is it that the watch waking up every second that causes the drain?

Enjoying this amazing hack that ports any Gameboy game to Pebble - brings me back to roadtrips with the OG gameboy and super marioland with no game saves so you had to play through the entire thing in one sitting! Make your own at pebboy.pages.dev

@ericmigi.com Is it normal for a watch face to use 14% in a day with seconds enabled? I figured it would’ve been worse than the 2-3% a day I was used to before, but man this is rough 😬.

With ‘system’ currently taking 44.5% of the battery, it would probably last 11 weeks! Which would be great, assuming you like looking at a blank screen. 🤣

@ericmigi.com While this is technically not dead, I think I’ll call it here because I like having notifications 😅. It is at 4% remaining, so it would have died on Monday the 31st. Which means the battery (would have) lasted 6 weeks on my super-battery-conservative settings!

@ericmigi.com 5 weeks since the full charge, and the PT2 is still going at 15% remaining! Next notification from me shall be the last, when this watch finally kicks the bucket.

4 weeks since the full charge, 30% still remains! Mostly just System & Bluetooth using power. The battery app is giving a very optimistic total battery life of 68 days lol. We shall see…

@ericmigi.com 3 weeks since the full charge, now at 46% remaining. Will see how long it takes to die. Probably gonna be 5 and 1/2 weeks total?

It is a dim display, especially at off-angles. I just don’t particularly mind it, coming from a cheap $10 reflective lcd watch. The more light you can get onto the screen the more visible it will be.

@ericmigi.com Loving the idle battery power of the Pebble Time 2. Got mine 2 weeks ago (July 20th), charged it to 100%, and it still has 65% battery left! I do have the backlight in battery saver mode, since I barely need to use it.

It seem minor, but after a lot of bashing my head against the wall, we have mirror mode in DK64. It involved inverting the aspect, inverting the controls, inverting every tri in the game and inverting the way the camera loads chunks. But it works!

Funny thing is that the preorder bonus thing arrived on time from ups, so I’m blaming fedex for the delay lol.

I’d love to be playing the new Zelda game, but I’m not sure when I’m gonna get it at this point. 🫠

Image of an online best-buy receipt that shows the game being delayed by FedEx.

Made a compact version of my previous splatoon 3 iOS widget. Moved to using icons over text. I like it better overall, but the stage images are a little hard to see lol. #splatoon3

I’m not good with wall placements, so that is the main reason I went with auto bomb instead. Just for reference I mained vjet and cjet (5 stars on both), but wasn’t getting many wins with them.

Making improvements to my @splatoon3.ink iOS widget. Added X Battle, schedule, also got rid of the stage names in favor of just using the images. #splatoon #splatoon3 #scriptable

Following @splatoon3.ink is a little too spammy for my liking. Luckly their API is open and free, so I can use Scriptable to make a iOS widget. 😎 Unfortunately it doesn’t support custom fonts, but It doesn’t matter to me. You can see the script here: github.com/DavidSM64/Da... #splatoon #splatoon3
