My problem wasn't the effects of the perks, but rather the system that dolled them out. If the game is gonna let me build craft, let me build what I want! I don't want to grind for the best rare version of the effect I want.

I tried this out at PAX West, and while it'll definitely be skill testing, I entered a flow state with the movement really quickly. Very fluid, and very fun.

Finally getting back to some game dev. Pretty happy with how this enemy design came out. In engine, I've already added particle effects to make it a flaming skull (hence the orange eyes).

Ironic how even the metaphor fails to understand the underlying issues. Safer / electric cars are not the solution, expanded public transport is. Those that don't use AI to code (me) aren't just trying to ride an ethical high horse. I actually enjoy the act of writing code / working on a problem.
