Worked with an #acting #coaching client on an emotionally pitched scene. Using different techniques, it was good to see them discovering how this character reacts. Very different than my client would themselves. Good to see a character getting found. #ActingCoach #ActingCoaching #actorslife #actor

Working with an #acting #coaching client on their audition piece and found a direction for it to go toward the end that found its authenticity, and dare I say, fun in the scene. Really good to see them reveal that. #ActingCoach #ActingCoaching #audition #auditioning #selftape #selftaping #actors

Did an exercise with an #acting #coaching client that can highlight the immediacy and unpredictability in a scene, and we found a whole different pacing. Then we had a take where the tone shifted half way through in a new way. Good finding new stuff. #ActingCoach #ActingCoaching #actorslife #act

Adversaries can use PII against our soldiers. Threat models include soldier facing identify theft/financial fraud, or whose spouse is put in an infidelity suggesting deep fake, is as compromised/combat ineffective as a battle causality. Really glad they didn't encrypt any of this data 🤦‍♂️ […]

I hardly use WhatsApp. And today, they put my account in review, for unspecified activity that they say violated their terms of service. Mind you I have not done anything on WhatsApp for at least 48 hours. They reviewed my account, in an about a minute, and decided my number can no longer use […]

With an #acting #coaching client explored ways to do good work when tired. There are some techniques I have found can help. Got to see them find a new edge to the character's demands from the other character, and cool to see new discoveries even when sleepy. #ActingCoach #ActingCoaching #actors […]

“I’m gonna make a deal with Iran…right after the election, but you don’t know her, she doesn’t go here, the deal goes to another school. But she’s totally a real deal. You just don’t know her.” #lies #USpol RE: www.threads.com/@factpostnews/post/…

Trump: I have a big decision to make. Will a deal be made with Iran? Or do I annihilate them, and do it quickly? Do I drive them into hell with no chance of survival and no hope?

There is a Bill of Rights, the first 10 Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Not a Bill of Privileges, and the White House belongs to the American People, not to any potus. The staffers and appointees that wrote and approved this are not only wrong, they’re adversaries against the United […]

Had an #acting #coaching client do a take focusing on one aim, then do a take focusing on a different aim, then, for a third take, had them split the difference and it was beautiful to see them do the scene with that greater breath to it. Sometimes finding the pieces builds the whole well […]

Built the physicality of a character with an #acting #coaching client. And, unsurprisingly, found a couple new ways lines could go for their version of them. Always good to see concrete decisions start to animate and infuse things with new specifics. #ActingCoach #ActingCoaching #actorslife #actors

Worked with a #writing #coaching client on some ways to do screenplay outlining and also structure your own workflow so progress gets made even if time is tight. Great to help them have tools to keep their work, development of their craft and their material going. #WritingCoach #WritingCoaching

Working with an #acting #coaching client we found a turning point near the end of the scene, and when we built that out, this wave of authenticity came through their performance. So good to feel it landing like that. #ActingCoach #ActingCoaching #pathos #authenticity #performance #actors #act

I flew into New York City 25 years and about 12 hours ago. I was excited and nervous: I was scheduled to do stand up comedy for my first time that week at @carolinesonbroadway . My stomach was unsettled. I sort of noted the towers from my cab into the city, but really more looked at the skyline […]

Probably only 20 or 30 people on earth knew then that the towers only had hours left to stand. 19 of them would pilot planes into buildings, or be overwhelmed by the ad hoc first warriors of what would become named the War on Terror and make a crater in a field. /2

This country plunged into 2 decades of wars, and our further reaction to the trauma inked the Patriot Act (and more) that even now, as predicted by those opposed to those measures then, enables the erosion of safety, rights and dignity that tears at us daily.
