Had the day off work, so I went out to see the new Spider-Man movie and picked up very nice copies of Memories of Murder and The Housemaid

I just love the intricate nature of Banksia fraseri! This blue-green leaved shrub is a wide spread south west endemic that prefers gravelly latertic soils and granites. Usually flowering from June to September this individual was flowering just a tad early!

#FlowersOnFriday: The Silver-leaved Mountain Gum (Eucalyptus pulverulenta) is cold-hardy & tolerates a wide range of rainfall conditions. This makes it a great garden mallee for regions where the climate is too cold & wet for most small, ornamental eucalypts. It can also be kept in a large pot!

I popped down to visit the local five day market
