Look what was in the mail today!!! (Yes, "End Times Fascism" is a signed copy. I don't usually care about these things, but it was the same price and I thought @naomiaklein.bsky.social and @astra.bsky.social would like to know that a copy they held in their hands is now in Japan). #books

Saw one in the wild for the first time (there was a second one above the door, it's a small amusement place for kids in my hometown) Even if you put all the environmental and ethical aspects aside, how can anyone would want to put this on their wall. It's ugly and even worse, soulless. #AI #AISlop

Wow... This sign was at the supermarket yesterday! The supermarket is in the city, albeit, 1 km from Yashima (a very big hill). I didn't even know there were #monkeys in Yashima (I mean, I'm not surprised, but I've been countless time and never saw one, nor a sign about them). #Japan #Takamatsu

#Lunch today! The #kebab truck was on campus, yeah! I only ever see it on the medical campus, but when I see it, I'm usually in a rush and can't stop. Today it's here! (it's open school, today, high school students come "try" our university, so there are lots of extra bells and whistles on campus).

A kebab, Japanese style, meaning, it's in a box, no bread but rice, but also vegetables. In other words, it's as delicious as the European kind, but much healthier.

Today's lunch. Pictures of #udon on the web are almost always fancy pictures of very elaborate dishes. (the pics are usually taken by Westerners) Nope, this is what the real udon eaten by the people of #Kagawa (aka Udon country) eat on a daily basis. And most of it is self-service. #Japan #food
