NK1300 and AF1 had a bit of an "encounter" today-- ATC was reportedly yelling at NK1300 to get their attention to get them to alter course. Not sure it was a "close call" at all, but since AF1 involved.. I tend to believe the yelling part. Thanks to @petchmo.bsky.social for his help in..

The numbers are in. #SanDiego Police Dept estimates more than 60,000 attended #NoKingsDay march downtown. Thousands more participated in 10 additional rallies around San Diego County. PROUD of my hometown for showing up when it matters!

NEW: Alaska Airlines will launch 3 new routes from San Diego (SAN): • SAN to Phoenix (PHX) starting August 20 • SAN to Chicago (ORD) starting October 4 • SAN to Denver (DEN) starting October 4 Each route will operate 3x daily primarily using 737 MAX 9 aircraft.

I don't mind the occasional Christmas in San Diego in shorts, T-shirt, flip-flops. But the lack of any substantive rainfall for the last 7 months has fried our hillsides and gardens. I'm looking forward to a damp Christmas... hopefully.
