Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 26/10/2025Since the Leafs won tonight, and since the Jays are in the World Series, is this FINALLY the year the Sabres end their playoff drought? 010
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 22/10/2025My soul is crushed that Chase Fraser and Chris Cloutier left the Bandits to sign in Vegas. 000
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 09/10/2025If I post any more classic Sabres goals, I'm going to cry. The main vibe and theme of them all is how loud and proud they made us when they scored, whomever it was that scored. That sense of community and pride we took in them. I miss all of that. Please let this be the year it comes back. 010

Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 13/05/2025He was a great captain. It wasn't long enough, and I still hate that he was traded and unceremoniously let go by GMJB. He would've made a difference in 19-20, but what do we all know. 020
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 13/05/2025Dude! That's outstanding. I was 14, and I remember I watched it with my family that Saturday afternoon, it was so much fun. I miss the feeling, as I'm sure we all do. 010

Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025Forever I'll be grateful to JP Dumont. Words can't begin to explain how much that moment meant to me. Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025I can't explain how or why, but life seemed to naturally move on after that. I finished my freshman year of high school, the Sabres finished an insane run that none of us expected, both ironically in June. But that JP Dumont goal, to invoke RJ, made me believe again. 6/ 220
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025The scream I let out was loud enough to wake 4 people and my dog George. This scream was the most cathartic thing in the world, and it was loud and long and it was the most indescribable feeling and thing. And I felt alive and I felt okay and everything turned a corner after that. 5/ 120
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025Everyone in my house went to bed, I'm sitting there half into the game half depressed about my nana. Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025Anyhow, game 1, Drury, Ottawa, I was sick on the couch, so as the back and forth is happening, I'm not fully as into it as I should have been. Game 2 was a Monday, had to go to bed for school, listened to the end. Somehow convinced my mom to let me have this and stay up for game 3. 3/ 110
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025The Sabres, remember, were a 4 seed, and dispatched Philly. The night they beat Philly in game 6 was the night of her wake, so my mind was far from "oh cool Max and friends are dummying the Flyers." And as life went on for a short time after, there was this fog of sadness that she was gone. 2/ 110
Dave S @davetrw.bsky.social · 10/05/2025May 10, 2006. It was a Wednesday. I'm 14 years old. Learning how to process grief. My nana died a couple weeks prior, late April, and I was just a sad, miserable zombie going through the motions. All while this is happening, the Sabres postseason is ongoing. 1/ 130
