Vision 40*50" acrylic on canvas

Dave @davesimpsonart.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

Too much noise "shut up everything" 16*20" acrylic and resin in a wooden frame. Love the semi random effects of resin flow, gets better as the textures build up, generating lines that I wouldn't have put down. Exhibition booked for November, these definitely look better in person

Finally got round to adding resin to the holes, definitely needs some eyeballs

I'd reinstalled Facebook a couple of months ago to promote my upcoming art exhibition (booking dates this week). Uninstalled it again today, if you don't like metal (especially filthy nasty deathcore with dental instruments) then listen to this to gauge how pleasant it was.

6 shades of grey. Not going to use the wrong one this time. Edit : this was a while ago, have since over painted the clouds with a transparent layer of neon pink

Layer of resin set in these, going to paint some psychedelic designs and then seal with resin. Jewellery making is not something I thought I would be doing, but here we are and excited about the idea

Nearly finished this one. Hexagons are so cool

Resin flow is deciding where the lines go. Love the random element. Lines where I wouldn't have put them.

I'm terrible at promoting my art, I'd rather be painting. The exhibitions I did have (over 10 years ago) were really successful - one paid for an engagement ring. Resin isn't cheap, hopefully sell a few and put the revenue back into materials gofund.me/e5295e75

Wahoo 350 followers : better than Facebook of Instagram did in years. I put it down to a better quality of people on this site. Hard to take pics as the resin is very reflective (tips appreciated), multiple layers of painted resin - awesome depth effects

Just when you thought things couldn't get worse, there's a new Blippi. Started with Blippi and then there was a fake Blippi but he got shows so he's the new Blippi. Kids found a new fake Blippi today. WTF. Are they churning them out?

Comic book artists are the best. Just look at it. Beyond my language abilities and art knowledge to give it the description it deserves..

Followed a rule (white outline to dark red) for multiple layers of resin which flowed with the contours generated. Really enjoying the random generation element. There were a few faces and a shark so converted the gaps to mouths and pushed the number up

A rock creature with lots of mouths (unfinished), colours : white to dark read in consecutive lines

Window sign on new shop near me, they have spelt America incorrectly AND included Irn Bru which is definitely from Scotland. It burns my eyes
