This was the most exciting release note in a while. No Duo until a public Xcode 27.1 release later this month the biggest surprise

031

Dave Murdock @davemurdock.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

@gruber.foo Another versioning shenanigan is that Xcode 27.2 Beta has no Duo support, that will be in Xcode 27.1 later this month. That leads me to believe iOS 27.1 is going to be an available for all devices and developers are going to have 1 month to get our updates ready. 27.2 is Nov for all

I can’t buy #dune3 #imax #70mm. AMC crashes on launch (iOS 27 issue?) and Fandango shows times but can’t look at the seats

If I one wish from an #Apple genie 🧞I’d wish that when an OS releases, the following would update simultaneously & be correct: - Name/number in Software Update - Name/number at developer.apple.com - Xcode - Release Notes - RSS feed for Developer Releases - Press Releases

011

Dave Murdock @davemurdock.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

But Software Update says Beta 5 🤦‍♂️

000

Dave Murdock @davemurdock.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

That’s not what developer.apple.com says

Surprised #Xcode27 Agent Mode will not directly edit the project.pbxproj file. Not safe for people, not safe for bots either!

@9to5mac.com said yesterday #Severance Season 3 shoots in April but I’m pretty sure this is the setting up today at #BellWorks, aka #Lumon HQ, in Holmdel, NJ 9to5mac.com/2026/03/11/s...

FYI #Clawdbot → #Moltbot 🦞 I'm no marketing genius, but Anthropic forcing a name change & throwing away the free attention for a playful connection seems like a 🦶 🔫

You’re telling me #Hulu decided it was still a good time to announce a price increase?!? My Hulu Premium + Live TV, Disney+ Premium, and ESPN Select plan would increase to $99.99/month on the first billing cycle on or after October 21, 2025…if I hadn’t #CancelledHulu! My plan ends October 2

020

Dave Murdock @davemurdock.bsky.social · 18/09/2025

I've suddenly had the urge, after being a #Hulu & #DisneyPlus subscriber since both services started, to cancel my bundle subscription.

Kept thinking the naysayers have been overly harsh on #iOS26 #LiquidGlass but then I saw the search box on the App Store's Search tab which I didn't even notice at first 🫩

Dave Murdock @davemurdock.bsky.social · 21/07/2025

Been a #paramountplus subscriber since it was CBS All Access because #StarTrek #Discovery launched. ❤️ #StrangeNewWorlds & might resubscribe when season 4 drops, but I've cancelled my annual subscription because of the bribe, #Colbert cancellation, & SNW only getting 1/2 a 5th season.

My family & I are U.S. citizens & went through customs in Newark (EWR) after a E.U. vacation. Border Patrol officer didn't request our devices, but we took precautions. On iOS, if you have Stolen Device Protection On, it's an hour delay for every change & iCloud sign out.

Trusted #Nintendo "pre-order from the Nintendo Store program" but here we are on the eve of the #Switch2 release and this email from May 16 is the last thing Nintendo sent.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order nothing to do

#Disney messed up #StarWars again by only giving #EpisodeIII #RevengeOfTheSith a 1 week release. On a $25.5M domestic opening w/ 2-3x multiplier, could’ve banked $50-$75M+, > $100M WW. Plus, up against Sinners & Accountant 2 😱. One of the most memed movies of the last 20 years & made for the moment

Only the #Severance pop-up at #BellWorks could get me to drive to the office on a Sunday to let my #innie play! Thanks @benstiller.redhour.com and the #AppleTV+ team for a fun event

I've ordered coffee direct from Cafe Britt in Costa Rica for years. To prepare for the chaos, I placed a big order in January for $290.65. The same order today $333.02! #trumptaxes

Dave Murdock @davemurdock.bsky.social · 05/04/2025

Didn't think #Nintendo would let me register for a #Switch2 + #MarioKartWorld bundle for $499 after announcing a pause on pre-orders because of #TrumpTariffs causing price uncertainty, but here we are. Showing a price opens them up to class action lawsuits if they don't sell at that price, no? 🤔

For the first time in years, I am not subscribed to anything on #Amazon. Don't know why I didn't think to do this earlier, but ordering what I was subscribed to direct from manufacturer or other distributor sites cost NOTHING more.

First thing I did trying #Claude 3.7 Sonnet was ask if there was a macOS app. I got a "IDK" answer which is perplexing b/c: 1) Pretty sure there was (yes claude.ai/download). 2) Search engines have answered questions like this for 20 years. Wonder when it will get web access to close the g

Why doesn't #ChatGPT have a family plan? My son uses it in college for $20 / month. Their "Business" account starts at $25 / month…billed annually. Move forward & it gets worse. That's $25 per user w/ 2 user minimum for a total of $600. You can still choose monthly billing for $30 pp.

😖 tried to play Baldur's Gate III grouped up with my boys using Mac Virtual Display. At first it was amazing, bigger than my Studio Display. After a few minutes though, the system just couldn't keep up. Game hung then crashed and this prompt was shown. I'll try again with local only game soon.

Never listening to Carrie Underwood again on streaming not enough for you? You can also dislike her show since #Hulu is pushing it right now. Their UI is confusing so you have to tap "👍🏻 Rate Movie" to 👎🏻 🙄

Stockpiling coffee from Cafe Britt in Costa Rica before idiot's Colombian tariffs cause drastic price increases for all ☕️ 🫘. If you can afford, suggest doing the same.

#Apple I'm begging you to take the update listing, discovery, & patching process from the #AppStore & make it a part of #macOS. CrossOver isn't a "normal" user app, but think of eliminating Microsoft & Google Update + every updater from non-App Store apps…the battery savings alone are worth it 🥺

This is how you know TikTok, aka the company Bytedance, is full of 💩. He isn't "President" yet & an Executive Order can't change a law passed by Congress & signed by the President which the Supreme Court has upheld.
