Basically I do think the right feels the need for its own end of the world narrative (as opposed to climate change) that they can exert over the left (unlike end times stuff which the left will never believe).

Some random memories of 9/11: The wind blew south the 1st day, north the 2nd day. The army appeared silently overnight. Vehicles from unverifiable “security” agencies everywhere. A passenger plane *crash landed* in Queens a few weeks later. It was easy to enter the hot zone on foot. Anthrax!

One problem with the unitary executive theory, aside from making it easy for a president to mow down mewling babies, is that it will lead to more drastic changes between administrations, so no confidence in planning anything. What’s that you say? There won’t be any other administrations? Mr Roberts?

You can always depend on the Murdochs to have the worst takes.
A tweet from Kareem criticizes the New York Post’s choice of image, noting that if they want to argue that “hating cars is bad,” they probably shouldn’t use a photo showing an ambulance stuck in traffic. Embedded is a New York Post tweet claiming Zohran Mamdani hired a “car-hating activist” to lead transportation policy. The attached collage includes photos of Ben Furnas and Zohran Mamdani, and a large street scene showing dense city traffic with an ambulance unable to move amid taxis and cars.
