We have a fox that lives in our yard. Recently it made a den underneath our house and made these little things! I’d love to get them out from under the house, as it sends the dog crazy and he barks at all hours. But how can we get rid of these?

Here we go again on the “Dave drinks free booze” train. This one is a GSM blend. We don’t currently stock it but it retails for around $25 I think. Not too shabby at all, I might have to consider getting this into our range.

Last night, the Pinot. Tonight, the Cabernet Sauvignon. Grant Burge is known for his Cabernets, and this one doesn’t disappoint.

On this day seven years ago
Just had a Twitter direct message from the wife of my birth dad asking me to give her a call. He passed away last night. I don’t remember him at all, as he and my mum split up when I was very young. It was only a few years ago that I found him on social media and reached out. Since then I have corresponded via Twitter with my half sister (one of them, the other blocked me for some weird reason), and his wife. They seem nice. I wanted to meet him, maybe have a beer or whatever. He didn’t want to. He had a different family. It hurt, but I understood. I shouldn’t feel anything, but I do. I wouldn’t exist without him. RIP Dennis.

A selection of random images from the bar last night. #SupportLiveMusic
Framed white t-shirt design featuring bold, jagged bubble-lettering across the top in blue with a white outline, reading a stylized band name (illegible due to distorted lettering). Below it, a comic-style illustration in a thought bubble reads: "I WAS TOLD THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS YOU HAD TO DO TO MAKE IT BIG IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY." The illustration shows a bearded man wearing a flat cap and sunglasses, drawn in profile, appearing to lick or kiss the palm of a large hairy hand/arm. The background includes dark teal shading suggesting trees or bushes.A worn, curling maroon poster taped to a wooden beam, reading "BOMBING CHILDREN IS NOT SELF DEFENCE" in bold cream capital letters, with a small illustrated logo at the bottom. Cables run across the poster to an audio patch bay or mixer mounted below on a wooden shelf. In the foreground, the top of a person's head and a hand are visible reaching up near the cables, and framed black-and-white photographs hang on the wall in the background.Overhead view of a merch table covered in a green tarp, displaying CDs by The New Christs — including "These Rags" with a cover photo of stacked metal shelving, and another titled "Gloria." A handwritten sign taped to the table reads "WHEN BROWSING PUT DRINK HERE," with a glass of bourbon over ice resting on it. Another sign in the bottom right reads "CASH OR CARD," and a marker pen lies at the top of the frame.Close-up photo of an enamel pin badge attached to a rusted metal surface, with an old lock or latch mechanism visible above it. The pin is white and black, arch-shaped, featuring the text "BODY JAR" in bold black lettering diagonally across the design, with an illustration of two overlapping bare feet (soles facing outward) in the background.

My mate Jimmy (pictured here much earlier in the evening) wisely decided that my head hitting the floor was the signal he needed to book the Uber. And yeah today will be quiet.

I was losing weight because of my change of job (now quite physically where I used to sit at a desk), but the loss was quickened when I started on these drugs in May. I’m sure they don’t work for everyone but they do for me, so far.

Today I learned about Dudley Flats Dudley Flats was a locality in Melbourne, Australia, in the 1920s–1950s, which supported a homeless camp during the Great Depression. More in the image alt text. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dudley_...
THE DUDLEY MANSION - 1935
State Library of Victoria.

The chimney is made from an old circular tank. The kookaburra perched upon it is made out of wood.

The chimney top is decorated by a poster advertising "Eta Peanut Butter." The front fence is made from discarded bedsteads, the side fences are of brushwood.
Summary

Front view of a house in an open area. House constructed from previously discarded materials, surrounded by a fence made from metal poles and brushwood. Two dogs and a cat inside the fence, one dog outside.

Dudley Flats was a depression-era shanty town that grew on the western edge of central Melbourne near the Moonee Ponds Creek and Melbourne docks during the 1930s.
