I used to have a "No Solicitors" sign on the door, but then I got a simpleton who insisted, "I'm not a lawyer!" They're coming back since COVID, and I'm considering "NO" in big block letters.

What a missed opportunity to show it was the pictures that got small.

I loved the cast of Clue, and I still regretted staying after the interval.

The Citadel’s production of the comic Murder on the Orient Express is like Clue, but genuinely funny. Excellent cast and astonishing set design. We’ll worth the francs.

Costco seems like the kind of joint that would have an efficient lost and found. Here's hoping.

Improbably, @hugobookclub.bsky.social chose my suggestion of A Hero Born for the next book club, so I've begun reading it for the fifth or sixth time. It's Volume 1/4 of Legend of the Condor Heroes, a great entry point to wuxia.

One of the best shows I ever saw was Bob Newhart maybe ten or fifteen years ago not far from where I now sit. He still had it.

You remind me of the time I was approached to ghost-write the biography of a former mobster in witness protection working as a porn actor. They wouldn't let me title it, "This Fucking Guy."

Found it on Hoopla after discovering it's not on Tubi Canada. Tried it once before but didn't get far. This time, I'm committed.

I once treated a laid-off colleague to lunch to discuss what he'd do next. Upon perusing the ungrammatical menu, he declared he'd like to walk the earth like Caine from Kung Fu and correct signs for food.

Much as I deplore the Texas state government, many good Texans oppose them and have shown an ability to win back power. Cities like Austin are oases of acceptance and progressive values. Should we also condemn fan events in Alberta? We are known as the Texas of Canada for reasons.
