@cerysmatthews.bsky.social Just returned from a week in sunny Sidmouth, having volunteered at the Folk Festival for 5 days. Hard work, but extremely rewarding to be a very small cog in a big wheel. Can you please play something for any fellow festival volunteers out there... Thanks!!!!

Morning Cerys. @cerysmatthews.bsky.social I'm a little bit late to the "sounds" party but what about the striking match at the beginning of Simon & Garfunkel's "Overs"? Also talking of plane noises on record, no better example than "Back In The USSR"....

Dave Edney @davee1957.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

Hi Cerys..... Regarding next week's program (and my birthday), what about "Solstice" by Bjork, "Hot Fun In The Summertime" by Sly & The Family Stone, "Sunday Sun" by Beck, "How High The Moon" by Les Paul & Mary Ford, "Twilight Time" by Leo Kottke, "Rainy Day In June" by The Kinks...

@cerysmatthews.bsky.social Morning Cerys.... great start to the program this morning....

@cerysmatthews.bsky.social Hi Cerys. Just found this; "Also, at the beginning of 1999, Elvis Costello was supposed to present the “Q” award for Best Single to Welsh band Catatonia for “Road Rage” but got stuck in traffic and was unable to attend the ceremony." True???? Great program as usual.

Anyone see the 80 year-old John Fogerty at Glasto yesterday? Seeing these old guys is a strange experience. Firstly even though they are obviously not at the peak of their powers, you are reminded of their legacy and are sure glad that they are still alive. www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5V9...
