We are aghast to see yet more divisive and cruel announcements from Reform - threatening to take PIP from over 3 million disabled people. Around 31,000 people - in and out of work - in our district receive PIP and will lose an average of £7k per year. The Green Party condemns this awful proposal.

Wakefield District Green Party councillor for Wakefield North, Kate Dodd says:

"This is not efficiency in public spending - this is outright cruelty. Reform targeting the most vulnerable people in our communities.

People with disabilities should not be targeted for cuts, they should be helped into work where possible, and helped to live fulfilling lives."
