Last holiday our plane was on fire - this time an emergency weather / running out of fuel landing! Airport closed while we on final approach - so we climbed high & fast and diverted!! Does it count as a new country if they don't even let you off the plane? First holiday beer achieved belatedly.

In the stands for My Chemical Romance at Wembley last night. Not quite as fully sold out as stated so there was a last minute drop of totally free tickets for charity workers etc. Man, they put on a great show and Welcome to the Black Parade was pretty stonking live.

Bars here mostly have a single price for a serving - just regular or pint. Which is good..but. You sometimes order the award winning local beer because it is local and as it does not have a UK standard big jump in price... you miss that it is 11% till you get an handy info card with it. Kanpai!

Second night of the excellent Big Thief. Big props to Brixton Academy security who spotted us waving - tall in a crowd might irritate people around me but I'm easily seen! - and had medics through to us in 30 seconds flat. Pretty sure all was fine, heat & booze a bit much. A second great gig 👍
