It's kinda crazy just how grindy the platformer Megaman games became after X5, which sucks for entirely different reasons. 100%ing a save on any game of the Zero series is legit miserable.

It's a very strange mindset to me. Why would I want to play a game to get it over with asap? It's not hard to figure out what wins on most games. What if the devs just wanted to experiment with some ideas in the game they are making too? It's such a thought terminating way to approach games.

BN3 had the dev intended Folder locks for some post-game Time Trials vs Serenade and it sucked ass. Just keep save scumming til you land on the dev intended combo with Panel Holes + Snake or Variable Sword and win. It's completely mindless.

2026, soon to be 2027, and I still see people asking what's the point of having all these options in the Battle Network games when SuperVulcan can S Rank nearly every boss in the series with the same combo and I'm just... Damn dude, people really be thinking game design is an exact science? Rough.

Onimusha is a casual game and doesn't want to push the player. Integrity of the gameplay simply does not matter. The fact you will always have enough items to pretty much never learn any bosses you don't want to is your clue to this.

Also, they just write VAVA, fully in caps, instead of ヴァヴァ...? Strange. Then again, X is called エックス /Ekkusu instead of it just being written as X when other characters talk to him. Would be equivalent to calling him Ecks in English but eh, doesn't matter too much.

They probably should've added a penalty for dying on Chapter Challenge. Don't feel right to just mash continue and have like, no consequence whatsoever. At least a little mark on the results screen like Bayo 3's Ranking. Also, that Ninpo count is completely wrong? I used Wind Blades at least 5x.

They toned down IS Ninjas and I think I only died 3 or 4 times total outside bosses. Tracking is broken on nearly every move that's supposed to track, Lunar LH> bypasses the hit limits on bosses (+ iframes) so outside Elizabeth it just solos the game free. I thought they had nerfed but alas.

Worst part is that outside Bayo 3's artbook, everything is out there in plain English to see. Previous Eyes of Bayo, Platinum's blog, the Bayo 1 making of video is on YouTube, etc.. The work of these people are just disposable, inconsequential stepping stones to fandom jerking off. Gross.

Her make up sucks? Shimazaki did all of them. The blanket wedding dress? Added late in dev as per Shimazaki's request. Her casual outfit instead of something fancy like 2? Also Shimazaki, she had no guidelines there. Butt braids? You guessed it, Kamiya requested braids like Little Cereza's.

There is a version of Mari Shimazaki that Bayonetta fans made up in their heads that's quite the non-descript character. She geeks out over Precure every week, has done so for years, but somehow she wasn't into doing Magical Girl Bayonetta (who has been one since 2009). Yeah. Right. Crazy folks.

Iwamoto X is just... Perfection. It's just that intensity in the expressions that was all over Kaji's early X work, that sadly got toned down when SENSEI took over around X4 (although I fuck stuff the comically huge legs/boots), ramped up to the Nth degree. No restraint, all excess.

They got the original director, and a large chunk of the Team Little Devils, either in-house or as a contractor being trained in their in-house engine, and the DMC4/5 team is mostly still around bar Itsuno, Morihashi and Ikeno and are now free of DD2. It's not even a matter of 'if' anymore lol

Murai folds to simple stuff. He only punishes aggression and has a quick save before him. Phantom kills new people without the Stinger, they prob won't even know to buy it, he is invulnerable in 80% of his body and requires a very strict Enemy Step setup for good damage too. It isn't even close.

Delimbs changing enemy gravity, which makes Momiji's Izuna whiff, which means you can get unsafe on hit. It happened 4x in a row. To be fair, this doesn't really happen with Ryu because his LLH in the air has absurd suck to target that force the Izuna to land. It's the most noticeable with Lunar.

Example: Get into the room? Unreactable projectile. Try to manually aim? Aim speed to slow, no auto on aim start up (3RE has this btw), get fucked. Sit in place mashing projectile and let the auto aim do everything? Yeah, here are your iframes king.

You'd think reality would crash down if humans understood how Ryu's tracking works because lol Half the difficulty in NG is just Ryu straight up refusing to work properly in terms of how you orient yourself in combat, which fucks with your ability to structure play, and then you just die sometimes.

Fuego Ironworks being an optional dungeon hidden away where the only notable reward is a Fire Stone in a game with no Fire Stone evolutions natively is incredible. I know people slander Kalos for being unfinished but Sinnoh getting a pass for being both unfinshed and bloated is nuts to me.

If Unova had better Pokemon distribution I think it would be fine being hyper linear. Like, you beat Brock and by Mt. Moon you have access to 16 species, even some final forms with some work. For Unova you beat Gym 1 and you have 5, with 2 of them being gifts (and no one likes the monkeys).

The people I met that only like 1 are like, super chill in general still. They also tend to lean older too. The people that like 3, and often are huge into 1 as well, are also often just happy to be able to talk about the game without the endless barrage of online hate. 2 tho? One singular yike.
