It really brings me joy that difficult computer science stuff is insanely easy compared to how difficult it is to find a place and move in there like its literally easier to write device drivers from scratch in C

What I've learned from being houseless since December is that of all the programming languages, if youre in a loft, Clojure that runs on the JVM is the best but out in the streets C is the best and like C99, the hood shit like fuck that "Made locally here in Cape Cod" C11 and beyond WASP dumb shit

Again one of the single best tran posts I've ever seen in my life is the xmaslemmings post like "transsexuals through access to expensive surgeries" like 100% of the time when I'm talking about Jody Foster its rilly referencing xmaslemmings same with Sarah Gilbert as in transsexuals wanna be her

The only ppl who think the electric chair is funny are ppl who aint never been anywhere near ol' sparky and her attendant stench of broken vending machines, piss, and the chard flesh of men so virulent that the witness gallery is standing room only and a who's who of "disgraced Bowery transvestites"

Also if you ever get into prize fighting and your opponent walks out to the sound of a single piano note instead of music, its probably easier if you switch your focus from trying to win to trying to not die in the ring while your family is watching

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 11/07/2025
Bro that adult circumscison and the resulting hatchet job is the plastic surgery equivalent to that mike tyson fight where when mike was walking out instead of a song playing it was whatever the deepest sounding note on a piano is, repeating, til he got into the ring

And wen something you can learn in an afternoon is turned into something that seems so monumental it's somehow worth while to instead delegate and build a dependency on something that is functionally giving you a hand job, and this is now a way of life... WHAT BAEBRUH?! BABYPAUL WHAT?!

been know'n is like why you need himem.sys and qemm386 or emm386 and how it relates to IBM's dumb bitch PC/AT architecture and from fuckin with shit and going from 640kb base memory to 4mb in a 386 which is worth mentioning bcuz it's not difficult for a child to learn this but it is for a computer+

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
bcuz drawing off experience and intuition makes it clear the value in asking a random word machine that is going to take 15 minutes to answer something that you know right away that you can feel and in a split second and it's wild thinking ChatGPT can bridge the gap between not knowin nd been know'n

Some of your favourite historical industrialist colonizers at least they knew their shit liek Rockefeller Sr knew the whole oil game and in a way that all the bullshit is still here it's just that Standard Oil is called British Petroleum and we're all worse off bcuz of it but dude knew oil

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
A computer isn't going to cop to it bcuz language models are not meant to give you what's best for you, they playin a game of averages and giving you the back shots and this energy appeals to colonizers because they don't actually know any of the shit at all like zero which is nuts bcuz
100
Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
This ladies is why it's important to decolonise bcuz the colonizer shit strips experience, needs to assign numbers to things and ultimately isn't meant to serve you liek the tech stack of Solaris 10, Modula-2, C, and Prolog is exponentially more powerful than Linux, Redis, Python3, and w/e but

Instead I followed the ADHD until an operating system appeared and when it came time to start on the kernel, the muses above blessed my life with LOGITECH Modula-2 which I later learned was absolutely perfect for creating kernels

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
"follow the code" is neurodivergent for "without question or restrain go in the unknown direction of the ADHD" which really has served me bcuz there's no way in hell I'd have been able to make an operating system if I tried to plan it out it would have been too overwhelming

And bcuz of how the system is structured it doesnt matter what the products any of this stuff goes into whether its an operating system or firmware for a network router, the enforcement of the shitlist is the voice of god to this shit like its enforcement of the shitlist first, functionality second
000
Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
And how the shitlisting works is the AI has a brain based on my experience along with all the businesses relevant to the AI's interests which are all in the wallpaper photo and this thing is called a knowledge cartographer and you can see the standings and do a bunch of shit

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
Omg the same BMO that is immutability shitlisted on our AI platform is on the phone wallpaper along with KPMG who isn't shitlisted outright only bcuz last time I was there they had the $8 bottles of juice in the waiting area and the secretary was like "ya ya have one!"

Ugh and its hard to explain bcuz this phone, the sony phone, the heavy on photography phones have less megapixels while the photos have the Leica look vs 50mp joints that's loose

I was just on top of a really tall building taking photos of the city from above and the work that the Leica ppl and HUAWEI ppl did with the Summilux lenses and the 3-lens camera system on this smartphone especially with the superwide they rilly did their homework and holy shit I'm impressed

I love you comp sci and the best ever programming language the C programming language, the only one that is actually perfect
000
Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
and this is by far my fav kind of coding bcuz being able to make a bunch of system level rules and having shit from a comic book that can just go ahead and fuck with everything destructively and immediately it adds a completely different dimension to this shit like
000
Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 10/07/2025
Omg shout out to quantum mechanics bcuz since the operating system now runs on the concept of the entire universe being a parameter, some stuff I just spec'd is meant to be immutable, run forever, and once started there's no way to stop it and omg omg omg

Its gotta be some kind of colonizer thing I don't understand that comes out in stuff like this where bcuz they used the most expensive type of laptop display, it still looks insane bcuz of how much cost cutting has done to modern displays
000
Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 09/07/2025
Also it semi makes me sad that this style of workstation laptop where they agree to make the laptop sport utility vehicle sized, make it weigh 10lbs, and then fit as much desktop type sized shit inside the computer sparing no expense... It still has the Porsche 911turbo feel to it too
000
Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 09/07/2025
It took forever but finally this $4000 laptop from 2006 is doing workstation things

Windows 2000 is the penultimate windows and does 90% of the shit I would use windows for so why torture oneself using Windows 11?!

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 09/07/2025
And now that a bunch of time has gone by, the usage of the word "better" now that I'm older, a lot of the time its meaningless because of how good the experience is of using a bunch of previous versions and actually investigating and really thinking about shit and comp sci bcuz

That particular era during John Scully's entire tenure was peak Apple Computer, the golden era like Scully on a deep level understood what Apple was and in a way that Steve Jobs wasn't rilly messing with and its hard to articulate because System 7.6.1 and those specific PowerPCs where the ULTIMATE

Baddison @datahooker.bsky.social · 09/07/2025
That stuff probably matters more now than it did before because people from back then are way smarter than we are now like the concept of having an executable package split between a data fork and a resource fork is still galaxy brain compared to ELF and how it segments the shit
