I’m at a Comfort Inn off in the suburbs. It’s 2:25 PM. They tell me tha check-in isn’t until 3PM, so I have to wait until then to get into my room I know this is a common thing to enforce check in times, but I’ve never experienced that at this level of property. And yeah, I have not status here

I fear things like these last minute, clearly illegal, processes will happen over the next few weeks and honest courts won’t have enough time to remedy.

‘the addition of the president’s name to the building was critical to the center’s financial health because “Trump attracts money.”’ The last org I worked with who said this about an awful person ended up bankrupt a year later. It’s a horrible way to sustain a non-profit.

Are you an American living outside the US? You can still vote in the midterm federal elections. 🇺🇸 Visit www.votefromabroad.org for info. 🇺🇸 Remember you must request a ballot every year. 🇺🇸 My state lets me do all my voting online, so it takes me 1 minute to vote. 🇺🇸

The newborn died at birth because mom had measles. She was unvaccinated. Dad was. The other members of the family were sick as well. The coroner is claiming it wasn’t measles that killed the child.

Yes, we are in this in between phase where very few methods work seamlessly. As I tell my mom, give gratitude for sites that require 2FA. if only I could get a certain org to allow it to be turned on. They hold hundreds of thousands of customer accounts and don’t give a damn about their security.

• One reason for the potential depletion?
Shifting age demographics. The Social Security system is designed, among other purposes, to support retirees. The model needs a balance between workers contributing to the trust funds and beneficiaries receiving them. These days, more people are reaching retirement age and living longer in retirement, while relatively fewer people are entering the workforce.
