I totally appreciate people's need to express themselves and not bottle their feelings. But I don't yet have good enough boundaries and inner peace to not be completely drained by the constant barrage of anger, fear, and grief about the big stuff going on. It's still possible to find clothes that'll last but it takes searching around and I never assuming the same exact thing will be as good the next time I buy it. And buying online without trying it on first is a dice roll unless you really know ahead of time what you're getting

Even when I was a kid they had already gotten rid of school buses and my parents wouldn't even let me walk to high school less than a mile away. It took me a long time to notice how much it encourages helicopter parenting that fucks up kids
