Spent the last few days exploring an estate sale of the late SF author and editor Douglas Menville. His collection of books was amazing, but I became fascinated with the little trinkets he kept by his writing desk and added them to my writing space. Be sure to grab ‘em at my estate sale, someday!

A group of pins (Needful Things, Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451) and small space-themed toys.

In Billie Jean, Michael Jackson specifically says “the kid is not my son.” But he never actually says the kid is a boy… Were we secretly listening to an “Actually, the doctor was his mother,” type of brain teaser this whole time?

Got a casting notice for Universal Studios Hollywood that they’re looking for actors to play Ian Malcom, Dennis Nedry and John Hammond. Basically, the male equivalent of the “maiden, mother and crone.”

Wasn’t expecting any existential questions when I opening the casting notice from Universal Studios Hollywood, but the question “Do I fit the role of Dennis Nedry?” really made me question some life choices.
