Rolled back over here a bit. The #nufc feed on Twitter is depressing 😅 I don’t mind reading critique and at the minute it’s warranted, but some balance eh!

Cracking away fixture, lovely city (stayed Dusseldorf), unlucky not to get the win but decent away point. All eyes on a little game Sunday now #nufc

Surprised to see Gordon on the bench but fair. Tonali on bench assume not 100%, been wanting to see Thiaw and Burn at the back for a while. Happy with the side, shame no Sandro but must be for good reason #nufc

Not at our best but worthy winners. Thiaw outstanding again, my MotM. Gordon really not looking himself, assume has that bug and was struggling. Hall solid when came on, good to see him back. #nufc

And in that moment, my heart shattered. To the universe he returns. He was the best soul. Leo: 2011 - 2025 😞 #bostonterrier #dog

Leo our Boston terrier. The best soul, he’d bark at the wind and we’ll miss him dearly.

This is Leo. Coming to 15. Poor guy struggling at the minute so going to start giving him some pain meds, see if helps. We took him from an unwanted home when he was 2yo 🐶 #bostonterrier #dogs #TheRealOldDoG

Posted this pic in a few places recently, but love reminiscing. “The Doll” used to be my favourite pub in Newcastle. Great for live music and dodgy ales. I was 18-19yo and was at the start of my coming of age years 😂

Don’t often see Eddie change on HT but could see we needed it. Was surprised to see Elanga pulling up and just not getting penitration using his pace #nufc

How isn’t that a pen to #nufc ? Grabs shirt in box and prevents him attacking the ball.

Wissa out tomorrow, Gordon injured and I can’t see him starting Woltemade. Curious how he approaches this. Does he risk Woltemade with no prem experience or give Osula a shot? #nufc

Ah well, Isak saga done. Player gets his wishes by downing tools and forcing an exit, costing his team points and sticking two fingers up to the club and its fans. All for the money. Kinda makes you respect Guehi even more with his conduct. Move on, ideally bring someone in today. Late.

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

Early KO for u16s today 9.30am. No u11s today so good to watch the big lad this time! Away, but local as two Cramlington teams meet (friendly pre-season still). #grassroots

DCL made a big threat difference to Leeds yesterday. That’s exactly what we are missing (the first 3 games) and why a focal point/ physical forward is needed. Kinda makes me think Larsen would be a great addition still. Not sure Wolves want to sell though #nufc

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 31/08/2025

Isak. What happens if conditions aren’t met or Liverpool don’t return? His conduct has been shocking. Everyone pretty much agrees on that (50% Liverpool fans aside). Hard to see a way back. Eddie has left the door open, but for fans? That’s a tough one to take. #nufc

Outstanding performance. Ground up for it as expected. Reckless from Gordon (again) though they got away with plenty. Entitled FC which I hate to say and see, their players acting like ManU of 90s. Nice to have a strong bench and looks like we need those players for Leeds.

First game of the season after a poor pre-season, I’m happy with that half like. Good energy, some good movement. Decision making off a bit but that should return. Pope fine, Elanga some good runs but well marked. Gordon and Barnes look decent. #nufc

Well, in the #Battlefield #BF6 beta last night. I fell away from BF5 and 2042, BF4 always my highlight. But this, they’ve absolutely nailed it. It’s like BF4 on Steroids. It’s absolutely chaotic, but in a controlled way. 🙌🏻

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 01/08/2025

What’s your view on Isak if he stays? For me, so long as he plays and puts in the effort, he has my full support. He should sign a new contract with a release clause and give us time to plan for him to move. Then we should have a DOF in place to handle such things? #nufc

1120

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 28/07/2025

FWIW I’d have Ramsdale. Just because he isn’t a fashionable signing, doesn’t make him shite. I know we looked at him a while back. He was decent though in fairness not took note of him recently. Not the biggest priority, but good to see we aren’t doing “one at a time” #nufc

3200

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 27/07/2025

Initial thoughts. Some decent young lads coming through and good to see them get time. Centre forward obviously a concern / lacking but we know being addressed. Need +1 or 2 if Isak off minimum. Centre half lacks pace and quality in depth. Botman a bit of concern. #nufc

120

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 25/07/2025

Seems a lot of anti-Isak sentiment based on a intentional leak from his agent. I understand Isaks position which is of the clubs doing (read the piece by @henrywinter ). Is the situation recoverable? I don’t know. The club has let him down. #NUFC

440

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 24/07/2025

In honesty, I can accept selling for a huge fee, remember the early lines of “you have to trade”. Under PSR it would be a big boost up for us. My issue? Trusting the club to reinvest THIS window with a big season ahead. #NUFC

160

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 24/07/2025

So, IF Isak has a thigh issue doesn’t that increase the urgency on us having another forward? Club need to get moving here like. #nufc

140

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 22/07/2025

If we get Wissa, we get a lad who is doing it now, we also buy time while we get ourselves back on track. Personally be happy with adding him and Elanga to the front. That’s strength over last season. #nufc

Our new technical directors name =|= the noise you make when the dentist asks you to gargle

010

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 21/07/2025

Another #NUFC musing. It’s became clear many popular sports commentary channels serve as mouth pieces for agents. Whip up a scenario, true or not, to feed into their narrative. Basically using media to help bargain. Another reason to try and keep things out of the media (near impossible).

150

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 21/07/2025

Surely we acknowledge we don’t have the fund structure (PSR) and top appeal of established clubs (what PSR designed to protect). Logically then our transfer should be to include a mix of risk? Why are aiming for Pedro et al, rather than finding the next Pedro? Said this for a while, #NUFC

460

Darrel @darrelb.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Things #nufc need to act on quickly 1. Isak new contract 2.wrap up Ekitike deal swiftly Do those two things, the noise stops.

I’ll say this quietly, i honestly don’t see the fuss in Pedro? I get the impression (might not be right) he can be unsettling as well. I know we have decent scouts, we must have a good few options on our list. #nufc
