iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

i think what i like most abt this is that it's not even an english-ism. tick is valid but they tell you to be a cross!

Wow the person who walked out halfway through a meeting, not for any decent reason, but instead to be interviewed by Andrew Bolt would would list 'meeting people' as an achievement?? almost like she's not really in it for the council position and is using it as a platform to boost herself...?

how she got it done exc anyway favourite part of the 'achievements' is defs this, which is mainly 1) i did a bakesale 2) i somehow caused a remoddling of these areas (no explanation of how) 3) i met some famous people

i will be honest i am not a fan of LE so obv this is a bit Biased (i will say she is obv not a fan of me, she's blocked me fb for some reason despite me never interacting with her on there) but will say almost all of them are 'i voted x direction', no discussion of if she introduced the motion,

Any LGTas candidates want to try this

I think its a thoroughly underdiscussed story outside of law student & lawyer circles that Hugh Jackman's brother is actively auditioning to become a High Court justice

explicitly towards the well off/small & big business types, yeah admittedly his role was a bit more serious than others but 'businessperson' is the precise kind of person i think of when i hear PHON??

like i remember there was a 7news clip which was like 'the new NSW leader, a business exec who speaks good japanese, isnt what youd normally think of when you think PHON' and i was sitting there going, no these are the precise people who PHON always run??? PHON's economic policies are geared...

100

they're tried to make the party seem serious ofc through certain recruitments (despite those people, id argue, not falling outside of the usual PHON framework, at all) but

100

was kind of doing this for a while externally but is there anything PHON has done internally to make any attempt to soften their image? (ofc i would strongly argue, and as i would say was strongly evidenced eg by Purra's statements, that it was very much presentation and not form)

Something i find vaguely interesting abt PHON: has there really been any attempts to 'soften' their image ergo compatriot parties in Europe? (Finns being led by a vegetarian who has a yoga account; Sweden Democrats leader talking abt and taking leave for mental health exc) I feel like Lee Hanson...

Fear i did not interview well for my dream job 👍

I would also like to kindly ask Cr Posselt to stop shooting himself in the foot, so to speak

1. Save UTAS - Wooley doing it drunk 2. First time women - weird candidate invite shenanigans 3. This one - whatever this is

Oh dear, not great that there's been an 'incident' at every single candidate forum so far! #lgtas

Im a bit biased but i really do not think he is? i agree he is often way too combative in a way that's not productive, in fact counterproductive, but LE was setting up sock puppet twitter accouts to abuse him...

100

i kinda think people should probably stop taking this 'news site' seriously Seriously why would Netenyahu 'false-flag' an attack that is 1) probably a lot easier to actually just crash the plane, and more importantly 2) EXPOSES ANOTHER SECURITY LAPSE

I kinda want a relatively strong Greens party in the UK to curve the transphobic & slight-agressive tendencies of Labour (then again the LibDems also do this most of this stuff) but what is this guy doing anymore

ah yes wolf hall is written in the present tense...

100

already been published by Mantel elsewhere (i also was thoroughly confused by one story bc of this, which only made sense when i found out it was actually written not in 2012 as i had presumed, but instead 1982) but this one (and the titular one, as well as the one abt anorexia)

Nooooooo Wolf Hall is sooooooo good though. Honestly the first chapter is really just mesmerising If you want a taste, i recently read her short story collection The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher. Ill be honest they're a bit mixed bc all but the titular short story had...

In the author's note for The Disappearers Marlon James notes his partner is Nicholas Boggs, who has written Baldwin: A love story which is quite fun bc the The Disappearers is on the Booker Shortlist, and Baldwin is on the Samuel Johnston shortlist! Would be fun if they both won!

Lucky for him that facebook doesnt have a word count bsky.app/profile/darm...

Darcy Murphy @darmurp.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

it doesnt even make any sense from an international law perspective??

Darcy Murphy @darmurp.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

2) this isnt how international law works regarding the laws of self defence? You do not need UNSC authorisation for self defence, even if it cannot go above a proportional attack? Art 51 and Art 2 are clear about this!

Couple of things on that Shoebridge interview 1) understand this has been semi longstanding Greens policy, and they've attempted to justify it via various head of powers. It's not a great sign when the one person you have supporting your bill's constitutional footing says he 'lost' the advice!

Quebec really is the final boss of voting efficiency isnt it Maybe CAQ shouldnt have presumed the system would keep giving them large majorities off of low votebase and not reneged on their pledge for electoral reform...

While i am not scared of moths like my whimp friend (who i love very much), there are now 4 moths in the apartment I live in. Which i am a bit confused about because its been rainy all day so the door hasnt been open, and the windows have flyscreens on them

it's also a complete beatup btw

Funny thing abt Neale leaving is that I feel like he's doing it in part bc he's pissed at Fagan for making him stand down as captain... but ofc Fagan is retiring lol (then again he might not have a good relationship with the rest of the coaching staff)

overall candidates seem to have used the statements pretty well 👍

like pretty sure the AGMs are already advertised in the paper?

i mean sentiment is nice but reads as a slight threat
