I think back in 2020 there were like 3 commentators on Japan who were churning out good commentary (emphasis on churn, lots of other good ones but at a lower volume) 1 is still great 1's decided Pedro Sanchez is doing great replacement and the other one has just gone whacky in multiple directions

I do understand why some are annoyed abt our father/sons... but, they can leave? If we were still the complete chaos we were in the late 2000s & most the 2010s im sure the Levi Ashcroft is playing out his last year for us, and Fletcher & WAshcroft have probably gone elsewhere

Question, does David Shoebridge need to use 128 to blow up the Freedom Stick, or is the Freedom Stick already controlled by a Cth entity, im guessing its the latter?

NO ONE ask Nick McKim what happened when he was Minister for Education of Tasmania

using the term "wharfie time" to random people and they look at me like im insane

I heard this argument being made on the radio this morning and presumed that it was some random calling in Did not realise it was the lib candidate for senate! #actpol

Wow a conventionally attractive politician from a political dynasty who is widely seen as a future possible leader in the apex office whose inability to answer questions might bring him undone nice to see taiwan also has their Koizumi Shinjiro!

Me to any LGTas candidate who didnt submit a statement for the book:

I would like to apologise to all who have been exposed to football rants

The Tasmanian Times doing a useful iniative in a candidate survey but then 1) not publishing how they answered, instead just telling you their 'score'; and 2) not even telling you what the questions are is annoying!

We have a new entry in the 'AI generated music video' field, this time from Canadian opposition leader pierre poilievre

Hot Take Draper - he offered what we wanted, he was a free agent. You succeed partly bc of the club supports you but there is indiv effort there as well. Happy to see him lift it (maybe also bc he reminds me of Daniher) Allen - eh, he was captain I kinda judge him for leaving

I just want to point out 1 player who played for the Lions in the first and 2 players who played for the Lions (one is an overlap) in the second are now 3 times premiership winning players for the same team, and one arguably couldve won the Norm

000

its not even funny how much better the fox call is by the way

This is the 4th year in a row that a team with a 'Darcy' has won the AFLM Grand Final In the last 3 Grand Finals, the teams with 0 Darcys has been defeated

020

Canberrans be like 'hello i have a spare ticket to listen to Hannah Furgeson's podcast would you like to go together?'

010

Win or Lose (hopefully win) it's really insane that we've gone from where we where in the '10s to our 4th men's gf in a row All for One One for All

The Mayor of Launceston is paid 157k a year, why couldn't Garwood cover these things himself??

I didnt wear my retainer last night which stops me from clenching my jaw and now i had a headache...

Oh Great Lion Man I Believe But Also Make The Rain Go Away We Don't Like The Rain

000

hadnt looked at the weather forcast till just now for tomorrow... why is it now wet and rainy it was sunny a week ago??? in all serious temp... dont think that matters, people made a weirdly big deal abt that in '23 and well rain... that could be a massive problem we play badly in the wet

000

Wonder what Edelman J the Freo Fan thinks of the appeal board's construction of both the error & the material nature of it

010

Fun #politas meets AFL fact from today's Mercury. Murchison MLC Ruth Forrest helped deliver Fremantle Captain Alex Pearce back when she was working as a midwife!

Just remembered another Cr Elliot incident - randomly claiming that there were litterboxes at Claremont College. Says evidence will be forthcoming. Does not provide evidence (its been over a year) (i think she was lying)

3 tables on HCC, sorting candidates by Instagram and Facebook following count First is in alphabetical, second is Facebook, third is Instagram FWIW - Wooley's account on FB was created less than 3 weeks ago and already has the second most following. Ofc might not be anything but... #lgtas

120

FB is not everything but Wooley made his fb account just over 2 weeks ago and already has 2.7k followers, which is more than Posselt and Harvey and far more than Ashdown and Lennon Admittedly on this metric you would have Mayor Zucco, when he's not really ever gotten close to winning so...

I think my prediction for Hobart area mayoralities are - Hickey re-elected relatively comfortably - Blomeley re-elected, maybe less comfortably than Hickey but without much issue - ...Westwood? - Probably Wooley or Harvey...? I think GRN against Harvey's name could cause troubles if the...

There's a weird number of council candidates who are pledeing to either - do things that already happen; or - do things they cannot possibly do

3120

Anyone got thoughts on who wins in Kingborough? Maybe Westwood? She won the deputy mayorality off of first bat in '18, and while having not been on council for 4 years (did not run for re-election) she seems to be putting in quite a bit of campaigning effort?

🧵 on British Columbian Politics, for those politics nerds out there

Given that random people like to run for Governor of Tokyo (eg mayors of rural towns, former governors of random prefectures, including the neighbouring one once, even a former PM (from a rural prefecture)) i can only conclude that Hobart *is* Tokyo
