This compilation from @ianrankin1.bsky.social arrived today. The sleeve notes are perfect. I used to ask my mum to get me stuff from Kirkcaldy Bruce's. Years later I met someone who worked there and he remembered my mum as the mysterious respectable lady who asked for the most obscure records.

42 years ago today, @rsxthecure.bsky.social handed me a plastic cup of red wine & orange juice with the words ‘it’s the national drink of Yugoslavia,or something’. Tonight I’ll toast the fact he’s still making music that resonates with the same intensity as it did in those faraway teenage years.

I like the way the setting sun catches the insulators on this pylon.

Today's drama. Amazon deliver my parcel to a completely different building. I have a lucky guess and manage to track it down but the porch pirates have been and ripped the parcel open. Luckily Emily Dickinson poetry isn't to their taste and my book is still there.

Just flipping through some old music papers. 1981. You could go and see all these bands for the princely sum of £34.50.

I've always been curious about the things you can see on the top of the hillocks near Kelty from the M90 so I climbed them today. It's a shrine to the machines that used to work the quarry.

Received an email this morning from another director of my company. It said "Hi, When are accounts due to be filed with HMRC?" At first glance, it looked legit but I'm sure if I had responded it would have led to some request for the corporation tax to be paid somewhere.

Just finished the latest Louise Welsh novel. Every bit as good as her previous ones - she captures the dark & sinister underside of life so well. Stayed up far too late the past few nights as I didn't want to stop reading it.
