Spotted Towhee - Utah #birds #birbs #birdwatching #backyardbirding #photography #naturephotography

Amidst the tangled, slender twigs of a bush, a spotted towhee emerged, its speckled black-and-white feathers and red underbelly stark against the lack of foliage. For a brief moment, it paused, its piercing red eyes locking onto the lens before quickly returning to its day, avoiding my presence. I got you this time towhee!

Red-Breasted Nuthatch - Utah #birds #borb #birb #photography *While in the process of discovering how to use my first zoom lens, this was the first bird I spotted that wasn’t a typical backyard visitor. That moment sparked my desire to pursue wildlife photography as a hobby—and I’m so glad I did.

A small Red-Breasted Nuthatch perched on an iron hook, its gaze fixed on the bustling bird feeder just out of sight below. It seemed to be waiting patiently for the perfect moment to take its turn.
