Darius needs to help Stay Gold train to win the Arima Kinen, but Stego isn't really feelin' it.

Darius @dariusult.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Darius got into the habit when he was a Highwayman- tobacco wasn't uncommon to steal from merchants or from shipments bound for Garlean officers. He buys Cigarettes from an importer in Limsa, and he doesn't smoke often, and definitely not around the workshop, usually only when he's doing merc stuff

I think it's funny how small Hrothgar are. Like they always FEEL like they're big and then I wind up next to one and it's like "oh, nevermind."

can we PLEASE bring back the word "poser" and stop using "larp" or "cosplay" - being a "poser" or "faking" being into something is lazy and disingenuous whereas cosplayers and actual larpers are passionate about their hobbies and out a lot of time and effort into them

Strained. Darius's mother had her two sons before she was ready to actually have kids, so she didn't do much in the way of parenting. She was on poor terms with both of her sons when they left home, but her relationship with Darius has mended somewhat following the liberation of Doma.

Always been a fan of AU works specifically spun off of important decisions being made differently in the main canon of a story. So I've got more than a few of those- a single fight ending differently causing a cascade effect across a bunch of characters' lives. Those are always fun to explore.

How to visit an art museum with someone who isn't used to visiting art museums:

Two social media posts by @pan_juho (Translated from Japanese):

"I love going to art museums, but when I go with someone who's not used to them, if I say, 'If you were a great thief, tell me later which one you'd steal,' they end up looking the exhibits pretty seriously, and that makes me happy.

"Whether you steal something you like or something that seems valuable -> it opens up endless conversation based on what vou liked about it or where you saw value in it, so it's also great as an easy icebreaker for chats after visiting the museum."

It varies based on the moment and the individual, but the #eorozuya setting has made use of such exclamations as "Halone's frozen tits!" and "Bugger me with Byregot's hammer."

Darius was a character from outside of FFXIV getting slapped into the setting. The FFXIV version was made to fit that character and then spun off into his own thing. Samga was created to be a rival for @sudekiffxiv.bsky.social so she's kind of mirrored from Sudeki in terms of attitude and palette.

I dunno what style I'd want the series to be done in as a manga, but in the hypothetical instance of the story being published, I'd ABSOLUTELY want all the cover art done by Yoji Shinkawa.

Darius's chocobo imprinted on him when it hatched as he was stealing the egg out of its nest while crossing Abalathia's Spine. (He was lost in the mountains and was gonna eat it) Instead he kept it, and it turned out to be a rare black Chocobo. His name is Chuck O. Bowe- for tax evasion reasons.
