darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 19/02/2025The #compendium arrived today. Truly an arcane tome. Like something found in the inner sanctum of Dread Dormammu. Also pudding. 010
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 13/02/2025One of those great RPG essays that immediately makes sense and adds another facet to how I think about the hobby that’s obsessed with since childhood. An instant classic.dndwithpornstars.blogspot.comThe Theory of the LabyrinthZak S / Zak Smith /Zak Sabbath playing diy D&D (dungeons and dragons, dungeons & dragons) notes on playing RPGs w/fellow porn performers 010
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Just about finished with a large block of dwarfs. RPG fandom has slowly merged over to miniature wargame hobbying. 000
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Played a round of 5 Leagues from the Borderlands today, a solo miniature skirmish rpg game by @nordicweaselgames.bsky.social My little boy participated. Great way to be a hobby nerd when mostly tied down by dadlife. 110

darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024And there have been some play successes to! The boy and I are calling the game Squid Wars because he plays as these tiny 3d printed octopi minis. 000

darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024My kids juuust went down for the night 10pm pst and this is standard. It’s made it impossible to do an evening online rpg game. Model hobbying fits in and scratches the itch. 000
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024Took my little war and of minis through about a dozen scenarios, each time set up on the kitchen table after the babies were asleep. Rangers of Baby’s Sleeping #rangersofshadowdeep #solorpg #solominiaturegaming 010
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024I played through the entirety of the rangers of shadowdeep book a couple years ago. 000
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024A combination of Covid years and becoming a father years have limited my hobby time so my interests have drifted toward model painting terrain making and finally solo gaming. 000
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024It’s been quite awhile now and I’m only interested in my own hacked house rules. Don’t really need new rules and this way I can include the pictures I like and not be bummed on the cover like Every edition since basic. 000
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024I used to play be pretty tuned in to the latest dnd rulesets. I was at gencon for the 2e release. I got sold on the developement phase of 4e because I was so frustrated with running 3.5. I ran 4e for a 1-13 campaign. Ran a series of 5e campaigns. 000
darenc77.bsky.social @darenc77.bsky.social · 21/12/2024@tomsonn2015.bsky.social I used to think of wargames as a poor cousin to RPGs but with life and kids etc I’ve come to really appreciate the hobby. I’m focused more on painting now than dnd. 010
