Yeah, ankle surgery, confirmed by the club now, 10 to 12 weeks.

Heard about Franco's injury in more detail and now frequently than hearing this. That's a failure in communication. I dont care for MLS but I should have heard it yelled from the mountain tops.

Fun @corkcityfc.ie story - Stu Collins & Stephen Caroll both of played for Cork City in their youth, came to Muskegon Risers in 2016. Stu captained and coached Risers for many years, now manages MI Rangers(NPSL). Stephan captained Detroit City until retiring last year. HUGE impact on MI soccer.

The only Welsh club that matters won today, should be a cracking season next year with the 3 of them there though!

Broken hearted. After an insane comeback Saturday, not quite enough left in the tank. Great season.

It was not their night, but a few former Risers and former coach Stu Collins had this to hang their hats on for a bit. Makes me wistful for days gone by.

Ottawa situation was scary - I mostly work in Muskegon, but also serve some people in North Ottawa in the mental health field. It was very touch and go for a while, a lot of fear, and a lot of unknowns. It's really scary for PH, being across from chemical valley already.

Thunder Bay had a hell of an actual minor league team, the Thunder Hawks/Senators/Thunder Cats. They were Muskegon's big rival, after seeing Youngblood back in the day it connected because I'm my mind OF COURSE Thinner Bay were the bad guys. OG Shreveport Mudbugs had Forbes MacPherson, a TB player.

I grew up with hockey, loved playing it, and it is still my favorite sport to watch. Over the last 10 years or so, every time I try to do more than just watch a game I get reminded of how toxic the culture is, and it isn't just this, or things on a national level, it's on a local level as well.

The dunes are beautiful(unique even compared to the ones in West Michigan)as is the waterfall, but yeah there's nothing anyplace near there.

Yeah, they're made in Muskegon(Norton Shores). While Chobani bought them out recently, they employ a good number of folks locally and still have multiple add boards at the arena. To top it off they had former Muskegon Risers player Jube Rodriguez paint a mural at their office.

My favorite thing about Soulja Boy is that he went on to sell bootleg video game systems on via his website.

NPSL, UPSL, USL2 alone are so vast. I've seen some incredible players who could have played at a higher level. Stephan Caroll, recently retired from Detroit City, played here in Muskegon before going there. He was very good, but I would have guessed others ahead of him to have the career he had.
