Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I chucked a load of carrots, celery and onions in the food processor, and froze them flat in separate freezer bags, so I'm not limited to using them only for soffrito. The level of satisfaction this has given me is almost obscene. 130
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Here are a couple of videos of me saying hello to a horse then not knowing what to do next 120

Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Here's the seal I saw on the Thames by Rainham, whose vibe kept being harshed by the rising tide. 051
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 27/09/2026The best cookie I've eaten anywhere in the world!! 4 stars. 100
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Just like I can't cycle past the bakery without buying a sausage roll, I can't go to Sainsbury's without buying these 010
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Sometimes I wonder why I still have the TalkSport app on my phone, and then this happens 121
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 16/09/2026A deadly supercell is forming over our nation's capital [complimentary] 120
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 13/09/2026This is not a butterfly - it's a female Wheatear, a summer visitor from Africa! 010
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 13/09/2026And here's a Brown Argus. Those colours are right up my strasse 140
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 13/09/2026The topside of a common blue butterfly, and the underside of another common blue. Or possibly the same one. Hard to tell, really. 121
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I've been coveting this bottle of corn liqueur for a while, because have you ever seen such beauty in glass form? Finally pulled the trigger. Gonna make a corn old fashioned later 🤗 120
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Every once in a while I look up the Airlander 10, aka "The Flying Bum", to see if it's gone into production yet after years of delays. Answer: not yet, but they're building a factory and taking orders, so that's progress. 020
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Here for no reason in particular is a slo-mo video of a Comma butterfly soundtracked by Look What I Can Do by LÒNIS & Anna Graceman 010
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 27/08/2026I saw a Little Grebe chick for the first time the other day. Had previously assumed that adult Little Grebes spawn spontaneously 120
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I bought a cat tunnel to try and give my cats some stimulation. Seems to be working. 010
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Heroin and fentanyl are often thought to be the most addictive substances on earth. That is incorrect. It's these. 120

Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 28/07/2026This time I tried adding Tajin to the margarita lolly mix before freezing, and it's more convenient this way, but the lolly has taken on a muddier look. I shall return to the "jaunty sprinkle of Tajin on an opalescent surface" look that I achieved with the last batch. 130
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 27/07/2026That's the North Sea. The tide goes out very quickly here because of the mud flats, aka Doggerland West. Hopefully some waders will come along and partake of the buffet. 120
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 27/07/2026I've taken the day off to visit St Peter-on-the-Wall in Essex. Isn't she a beauty? The oldest building in the UK that's still in use and that hasn't been substantially altered (yeah jog on,St. Martin's Church of Canterbury). Built around 654 AD out of the remains of a Roman fort by yer man St Cedd. 4100
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 19/07/2026This used to be my local public golf course. It wasn't well maintained and Covid made it unviable. Now it's a stunning giant meadow of grasses and wildflowers. Spot the Central Line. 150

Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 09/07/2026Loving my ice lolly moulds. Made margarita ones this time. Smashing. Added a pinch of salt to the mix but might try dipping the top into salt next time 170
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 08/07/2026I didn't know when I got out of my chair, that Arthur was lying under the chair, with his tail against one of the castors. There's been a minor incident 110

Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 29/06/2026My neighbour the drug dealer doesn't drink wine, so he's regifted me a bottle of Romanian sweet red wine. Now I'm no expert, but when it's wearing hessian slacks, I'm guessing that's a sign of supreme quality 020
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I've started taking an interest in the many plants I see when I go birding. This is chicory! AKA blue daisy. Very popular with yer seed-eating birds, finches and the like 010
Danyool @danyool.bsky.social · 28/06/2026There are cows pon de marshes at Rainham, interfering with the sightlines from the hide. Good for them. Us birders need taking down a peg or two from time to time. 140
