Officially, yes. There is no built-in support for C# web builds. But there are now a few options from the community that are very stable. this one I use and works well github.com/outfox/2dog

I continue to use it regularly and love it. Never ran into any major issue. Seems very stable.

I do what you were doing mostly using Godot Resources. Hence the question as I considered JSON also. The only two major downside of Resources for me are the fact it can get wild and run code on init before you can validate safety, so sharing it has a risk. But there are safeguards you can apply.

Woule be keen to understand what advantages have you found using JSON for this use case, over Godot Resources

Increasingly convinced this is the most important post
Twitter post from January 24, 2019, from @Merman_Melville reading

"Being a billionaire must be insane. You can buy new teeth, new skin. All your chairs cost 20,000 dollars and weigh 2,000 pounds. Your life is just a series of your own preferences. In terms of cognitive impairment it's probably like being kicked in the head by a horse every day."

Fully agree these are positives. But not all PRs are reviewed the same. That is somehow expected, multiple criteria apply. But I find with FOSS, who submitted the PR sometimes counts more than the actual content. So the experience of having a PR merged quickly only applies to a small group of DEVs

Yes. I know. And love your models. This was not me saying otherwise. I just added these links as a saw some other comments of people saying Godot does not offer good Low Poly terrain options.

Yes. But depends on what you want. Both works. Just the grass is nice if you want it to be an overlay layer. But if you are tiling on a base ground you need the autotile to have the base ground

Mate. That looks awesome. You should do a tutorial about that

The tiles themselves are just an example. Not super proud of the art in that tileset. Not sure I fully understood the question since I had use the translator

Hey. The plugin itself has come a long way and is very stable. It has become a great level editor to be honest. I'm using it for my next game, but the game is not yet at a nice stage to share.

Making my tool available that creates 47 tiles from a 15-tile pattern. Free to use, still in beta, but stable. The output is what Godot needs for full auto-tiling, but that is a standard format, which might be useful for other Engines also. #godot #GodotEngine #GodotTips #Gamedev #Indiedev

Big update to my TileMapLayer3D Plugin. Tone of new Features, including 3D Tile-based Sculpting Mode, Smart Fill and Animated Tiles. It's like Godot's TileMapLayer, but in 3D. Discord Channel: discord.gg/e8kjnk4Y GitHub: github.com/DanTrz/TileM... #godot #GodotEngine #GodotTips #Gamedev #Indiedev

I for one actually liked your idea and see value in it. Having a way to make custom animation events easier and linked to the animation resource file seems a good use case for some of my personal projects.

Hum..did you create wrapper methods to convert that to Godot ArrayMesh and read it back then?

Looking really nice. Are using Surface tool? Calling ArrayMesh API directly? Some other stuff?

Godot Engine suffering from lots of "AI slop" code submissions
The Godot Engine team recently posted about more issues with AI slop, including various pull requests that have become a big drain on resources.

I have made a new donation. I do one every year. This is a widespread problem that I cannot even begin to quantify for a project like Godot. On my extremely small plugins and FOSS projects, I saw the same. People are pushing for features they want, but without any knowledge of the code.

Great Terrain Editor for 3D PixelArt and Stylized games. Yūgen did a great v1.0. Me and others are helping bring new feature and optimisations for versions 1.1 and 1.2. This fits a big gap in Godot for these styles. #godot #GodotEngine #GodotTips #Gamedev #Indiedev youtu.be/eyuQTKcYsgM?...

It is 100% too restrictive. I got a few plugins and Im receiving bug reports and Github issues from users mentioning that warning as if there were issues that really are not issues.

Its great. But the Scene Size warning is driving me crazy and making me rewrite all my code to save and load resources

Unfortunately I second that. It's really good don't get me wrong. But UI is buggy, some types don't render well

I'm against using AI for this. But I don't think Larian means to be "training a model from scratch". Instead, they’re problem talking about: AI Fine-tuning. Using LoRA, DreamBooth, or other methods, they can refine it with their own IP and art style. This is feasible and technically sound.

New ones for sure. Do you plan to keep supporting Godot as tileset option?
