The "Toy Story" phenomenon is so strange. The movie is based on these iconic, mostly generic toys that already existed. Then they get the CGI treatment and corresponding IP build-up through a major studio, which means merch, so it's a whole new round, now branded, of the same toy from decades ago.

If you're writing children's books might I suggest using large, simple typeface with either dark text on light background or vice versa? A lot of these books are read at bedtime in dim lighting, sometimes upside down or sideways. No need to get cute with the copy.
