I love every second I get with the children in my life. Being able to reach back into your imagination to play, or have nnonsensical conversations, or see them light up when they discover something. I would feel like such a failure if I outsourced things like reading a book to them.

It's crazy weird when these manosphere subcultures that don't interact with anyone outside of their circle, come up with the most toxic reasons for their crap, and then wonder why no one wants to date them. See tech bros, cryto bros, maga guys, and finance guys.

LinkedIn continues to be the least serious place on the internet. Just read word vomit about Pearl Jam and football showing dedication and resilience somehow and you need to run your business like Mike Mccready for some reason.

anyway, the American id understander himself, Hunter S. Thompson, the next week for goddamn ESPN of all places. the party's over, folks.
We are At War now, according to President Bush, and I take him at his word. He also says this War might last for "a very long time."

Generals and military scholars will tell you that eight or 10 years is actually not such a long time in the span of human history -- which is no doubt true -- but history also tells us that 10 years of martial law and a war-time economy are going to feel like a Lifetime to people who are in their twenties today. The poor bastards of what will forever be known as Generation Z are doomed to be the first generation of Americans who will grow up with a lower standard of living than their parents enjoyed.

That is extremely heavy news, and it will take a while for it to sink in. The 22 babies born in New York City while the World Trade Center burned will never know what they missed. The last half of the 20th century will seem like a wild party for rich kids, compared to what's coming now. The party's over, folks. The time has come for loyal Americans to Sacrifice. ... Sacrifice. ... Sacrifice. That is the new buzz-word in Washington. But what it means is not entirely clear.

The vibes are off in O'Hare. I feel like I'm in the Truman show. Passengers acting dumb, workers being really mean to them, then passengers clapping back, Celine Dion blasting over the Chili's speakers as I wait for my chicken tendies

I check in with hotel cable maybe 4 times a year and from what I can tell MTV is mostly Office reruns, Comedy Central Family Guy, and there are several cop and house reno shows going at once. Guy Fieri has the most original programming on cable

NEW: I wrote for MSNBC about how Madison Square Garden turning off their facial recognition cameras for Taylor Swift is a perfect encapsulation of our dystopian present: where the wealthy can use surveillance to consolidate power, and the rest of us live in a privately owned panopticon.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got to buy MSG's privacy. Her fans aren't so lucky.
Reports that Madison Square Garden temporarily shut off its facial recognition system for Swift’s wedding expose a glaring problem with how the elite wield and control mass surveillance.

Companies are racing to incentivize employees to use AI. But as some companies are finding, the more employees that use the technology, the heavier the bill.
