VS Code has been very slow to load up for me lately. Probably time for me to do some debloating of my extensions 😛

Thank you! I’ve been trying to get my teenage son to move out for years, and GitHub Copilot came up with a plan and disabled wifi on all his devices. So easy! #JustKidding

Don’t feel too bad. I made the same decision in one of my modules, so it’s clearly a fairly common problem. We should probably get the PSScriptAnalyzer message updated to include using an alias as the recommended solution.

Off the top of my head, having good —help documentation in the CLI with examples, using standard switch/flag syntax, and the option to output in json format for easier tool consumption

I didn’t realize UniGetUI had that capability. I’ve been waiting for WinGet Studio (github.com/microsoft/wi...) to come out of experimental mode, but it seems development has almost stopped. I’ll be checking out that backup and restore feature 👍

Good to know. I've never used a 4k monitor but have been debating switching. My setup for the past ~6 years is my laptop (primary) + 3 1080p monitors (pic). I've been considering 2x4k monitors side-by-side, or just 3x1080p horizontal monitors. Would need to purchase new arms to hold 3 horizontal tho

Our IT department is looking at doing something similar later this year. ATM I'll often update my apps using winget instead of UniGetUI, simply because I can just launch my terminal as admin and run `winget update` and walk away. With UniGetUI, I need to be there to constantly approve the installs

When updating a bunch of apps I get constant prompts to run the installers as admin. I wish it just prompted once and used that for installing all apps. I could just run UniGetUI as admin, but it gives a warning that it’s not recommended, so 🤷‍♂️
